I was once a member of this site, lets just say it did not end well. You can guess why. These are not Trolls the are dead serious in there support for Trump even knowing a lot of these guys its shocking how devoted they are to him. http://www.dallascowboyscentral.com/threads/president-trump-thread.6515/page-473 Yeah I am a Cowboys fan, come at me bro.
Did I not just say that? I was an Oilers fan but they left and could never get on board with the Texans.
I'll never understand how someone can be so absolutely devoted to a f'ing politician -- people wearing an Obama hat and a hope tshirt with that painting drove me nuts. Going to multiple rallies like a hippie following Phish. Endless defense online of everything they do no matter how ridiculous -- any other politicians that support your guy get the same passionate defense. TBH I'm surprised that many Cowboy fans know how to read.
That place always leaned heavily right and was a bit bigoted I can't believe we were arguing about black QB's about 6 or 7 years ago, most where saying the would never draft one. There was also always a big debate about police brutality. When Trump got going that placed really changed after he was elected I was kinda like NewRox and constantly posting stuff in a that same thread, they pretty much said I was always derailing threads and then banned me. After that all of the left leaning posters soon left or ran off, even I can't believe how deep the adulation was and is. I am glad they banned me, this is why I started to post more here and I am better for it.
I can actually relate very well to your feelings about the Oilers and struggling to get into the Texans (such a stupid name! was ownership totally bereft of any kind of imagination?). I was in from the start with the Oilers. My Dad had season tickets the first 3 years. It was a hell of a lot of fun going to the games, but a Dallas Cowboys fan?? For the love of god, how can you justify that? I'm shocked. Stunned!
I read the autobiography of Roger Staubach and was hooked. Hell I used to be Lakers fan as well. Before Shaq, I loved Magic Johnson.
Heck, I always admired Magic. Didn’t hate him, as I did Bird, although I admired Bird as well, to be honest. Just in a different way. The word “Bird” could be an adjective used as a substitute for ruthless, murderous, and/or bloodthirsty, in my opinion. Magic’s nickname, Magic, fit his game. In his early years in the league, the way he could rise to the occasion could be truly magical. Someone might attempt to use the same description for Larry Bird, but I wouldn’t buy it. He could tear the heart out of an opponent when he was at the top of his game and eat it, laughing the entire time. In a manner of speaking. Black Magic might better describe him in comparison to Earvin. There’s irony for you.
This is why Dallas is a ****ing shithole. You have idiots living so far up their ass like this all over
It's probably not a good development that social media like this is experiencing self-segregation. Leftists leaving conservative-leaning communities and conservatives leaving left-leaning communities.
My interest in Basketball started with the NCAA tournament that year and Michigan State was my team due to Magic so I came rooting against Bird and grew to hate him in later years I was blessed to be a fan at the time Bird vs Magic was born.
