I'm riding this out. It's worked before, and it'll work again, in my humble opinion.

I am not getting off until I go green. Even if that’s 10 years from now. I’ll just dollar average my losses.

I swear I was coming to post about Portnoy. I don't know how anybody that listens to this clown can take him seriously. The funniest part is that he showed up on CNBC asking for help with his trades a few weeks ago because during the downturn he was losing hundreds of thousands of dollars or something. I sat there listening to him and wondering how anybody that sounded like him could be taken seriously. The dude sounded deranged. Of course the entire market went up and all of a sudden he had to figure out what to do instead of throwing darts at a wall, and he was clueless again. lol.

Now I need to figure out why Amazon sent me 4 joystick/throttle combos instead of just the one I ordered ... I'm thankful, but ... damn.

I almost think CNBC has him on there to make fun of him and he doesn't realize it. I have seen two interviews with him, both times it sounded like them taking subtle jabs at him. like hey you idiot, investing is not easy just because you are rich....

This brings up the famous saying that "the markets can remain irrational longer than you can stay solvent".

Just make sure you're buying into good stocks. DCA'ing into crap companies may not work too well. :D

Lol, Portnoy cursed the market, you can't make comments about Buffet and expect the dart game to work forever, hahah

Unless they are going down. Simply only hold them only when they’re going up. It’s easy peasy

I am buying several different ETFs very little overlap. Basically I am in the whole market everywhere in the world at once.

I only put it there because you could only park so much cash. How was I supposed to guess the then novel coronavirus was going to make it to the US.

I put a bunch of cash about a year ago into CD's and savings because I didn't want everything in stocks or sitting in cash. I think savings were paying around 2.2-2.4% and my 1 year cd's were around 2.6-2.8% or something. I was pissed. I'd kill for those rates now that my CD's maturity dates are approaching and my savings accounts are probably getting around 1.10-1.20%. :D It's really hard to find any place to park money and keep it safe and liquid.

ARKK is a good one in my opinion. Only one I held through the last year along with a couple stocks like Apple and Microsoft that I’ll never sell because they go to my kiddo one day.

and the etf is their regular one with the main holding as Tesla. They have others though that are more niche disrupting type companies. I suggest ARKK for sure though.
