RIP Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, Kurt Cobain, Scott Weiland, Dimebag Darrell. Sucks how many of the artists that I listened to in my youth are gone already.

Eddie Vedder is constantly on television and around town in Chicago. Anyone that wants to meet him, can meet him. He goes to to the same bars, same restaurants and walks the streets.

On one hand it is cool that he has zero security and literally acts like a normal guy taking the train and hanging out in trendy parts of town. On the other hand the guy is just about the least interesting person you will ever talk to. It is funny that fans will see him at some odd place sipping a beer and tell him about how some song changed their life and sometimes he doesn’t even remember the song.

He is very polite and nice, but mostly comes across as bored and a loner.

    Yes.

Junkhead was never my favorite song, but Layne's live performance ****ing makes this version great.

    I completely agree.

Vs. seemed like a good album when it came out, but nothing on it stuck with me like the songs on Ten. It's amazing how good Ten still sounds now, and there is not a bad song on the album. Vitalogy I kind of low-key hated. Every Pearl Jam album after that is kind of meh.

An Elliott Smith rock opera about jumping off a mountain is more likely but I'm really consumed with Daniel Johnston stuff at the moment.

Also, who is Alice? And why is she in chains?

Around '94 they started to harness their early spastic energy, Eddie's vocals especially. 94-2000 they were really on fire
