IIRC, this was the actual last MTV video Pearl Jam ever made. I don't recall the fallout, though.

This would have had a much bigger impact back when Pearl Jam was actually relevant.

Look, I love PJ, but you know what I mean...

Not quite, they quit for a few years in the mid-90's, second album (Vs), around the same time they got into the fight with Ticketmaster.

10 years later, everything is all ok. $$$

I always thought Jeremy shot all the other kids. Shows what I know.

any idea what their last video was? I'll research.

EDIT. I was correct in that PJ's last actual video was Jeremy, although there are several Unplugged Videos.

Hunger Strike was '91...Jeremy was the last MTV video they did for about a decade.

This song was originally called Jeremy is from Spokane and had a lighter radio pop single sound.

They stopped making them, sure, but... I'm pretty sure they made a video (or several) like... 10yrs ago or so. Vedder also soundtracked an entire MOVIE. Lulz.

The next video the released following Jeremy was for Do the Evolution in 1998. Gotta be their best video. Animated by Todd McFarlane. They’ve done several since then but nothing amazing. I love every Pearl Jam album through Binaural in 2000. Since then each record gets progressively spotty imo. But I have yet to see them live when they were not amazing. Their shows are long, varied and really great energy.

Alice in Chains was my all-time favorite.
(At least until the 1995 album when Layne couldn't sing well anymore. On the other hand, William DuVall is not half bad.)

Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Alice in Chains, Screaming Trees, L7, etc...

I always loved AIC the most.

Isn't @Batman Jones doing an AIC rock opera about Vietnam or something? Probably not but it sounds right.

What's different? It seems like the exact same video I remember from my youth.

On another note, and I know this will probably be controversial, but this album was an absolute masterpiece. Everything else released by Pearl Jam after this was meh. This album is that incredible that it has brought them this far along. Yes they had a few songs that were great after this, but every album after this one didnt hit as hard as this.
