I agree. Antifa has been used as bait by trolls online to attract right wing incels to protest spots.
There have been 800 arrests. If they are mostly white supremacists, then the demographics of the white supremacists have recently changed.
Equal opportunity to advance ones-self - if one wants to do so. It isn't handed to you on a silver platter - or at least shouldn't be. It all starts in the first grade.
Uh, what the hell is this? Did you expect lawlessness and violence? According to the article below, it's peaceful after the cops left and they are trying to keep it that way. I thought antifa was going to kill and riot? Let see how long this experiment last and what comes of it. White supremacist not welcomed. https://heavy.com/news/2020/06/capitol-hill-autonomous-zone-chaz/
I see plenty of hard working black people and I applaud them. I see plenty of successful black people and I applaud them. I have black family friends (and acquaintances) and I respect them. There are disenfranchised hispanics, blacks and whites. Why certain members the black community think they are being singled out is a peculiar phenomena.
One of many many reports that said the same thing over and over. But, it's not an issue, right? http://www.oas.org/en/iachr/reports/pdfs/PoliceUseOfForceAfrosUSA.pdf This report examines the persistent situation of structural discrimination against African Americans in the United States and, in particular, deepseated racial disparities in policing and the criminal justice system. The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (the “Commission,” “InterAmerican Commission,” or “IACHR”) has previously considered that racial bias forms the backbone of many problems of police abuse, overrepresentation of African Americans in arrests and in the prison system, and unequal access to justice, as well as wider issues of racialized poverty and unequal access to economic, social, cultural, and environmental rights in the U.S. Since the 2012 shooting death of Trayvon Martin, a series of high-profile deaths of African Americans at the hands of police or in police custody—including Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, and Terence Crutcher, among many others—as well as public pressure from civil society groups and movements like Black Lives Matter, have made issues of racial bias in policing and the criminal justice system topics of increasing public discussion. In light of extensive information of concern received in recent years regarding this issue, the Commission undertook to write this report examining the situation.
He didn't withdrew any troops. He asked for 10k and that didn't happen because the military and others pushed back.
So what would you suggest - keeping in mind a very recent Democratic, black POTUS with 8 years to play with, could not solve the problem?
You can't pass legislation when the head of the Senate blocks every piece of legislation. Do you understand how our form of government works? It would seem not.
Why are you bringing Obama into this? This is a long issue in the making. Not even one president can solve it, isn't surprising at all. To solve this issue, it takes more ppl like you to understand that it's an issue and care about it enough to support real changes.
Oh I see - people like me huh... What would the black community think if the white community made an issue out of every white death by black cop? Or the hispanic community made an issue out of every hispanic death by black or white cops? Where does it all end?
yes, ppl that are ignorance of the issue are the one that have the power within themselves to see more clearly and understand and make a difference. Have a nice day.
