Nope. My insurance costs money and I have access to well more than 70% of physicians and every service I need with (so far) absolutely no problems getting coverage or payments.

I would much rather be in my situation than those on Medicaid.

My sister's insurance costs next to nothing and she has access to well more than 70% as well.

How do you know its more than 70%?

    We're not talking Medicare right?

I'm not quite that old. I still have a few years to go. I know that in general my plan that I pay for is better than (in genersal) a Medicaid plan.

Now, there may be some outlier things where Medicaid may be better than mine as I obviously don't know (nor do you), every single aspect of my policy as it compares to Medicaid. And, I know that my sister's plan is in roughly the same boat as mine. Hers is so good that she is having to examine whether or not to get a Medicare (+ supplemental) plan when she qualifies later this year.

I haven't used private insurance in a long time. I go to the county hospital and use their plan.

I remember private insurance companies giving these directories of doctors. I'm sure you go to regular doctor every time you need but how do you know which doctors accept your plan.

As far as other issues Medicaid is treated as Insurance. I'm sure there are no problems with issues like finding specialists. Your insurance maybe really good but a lot of Americans are on Medicaid and there are never any problems with it in the news

I was going to add to my previous post, so glad you replied so I can reply to this one.

When I was working, I was paying a nominal monthly amount for insurance and I had the equivalent of a platinum/gold (whatever the highest tier may be called) insurance plan. There were others in our company who lived in Washington state, that paid $0. There is no way on God's green earth that Medicaid was better than that plan.

you guys know each other? Lol do tell. Did the poster deserve to get banned considering the race baiting going on around here?
I swear sometimes I think cf is like 2 or 3 people .. and @tinman

I think that is harsh and race focused but you be you.

Do you feel blacks should be separated? How do you feel about the philosophy of Elijah Muhammad and nation of islam?

I don't know Cheetah. He had a friend here who got banned.

Wtf is the segregation question about? You think blacks being responsible or accountable is equivalent to segregation?

    Who got banned?

I know AIr Yordan got banned cause he was a duplicate account.

People need to realize that Clutchfans isn't dumb and that it doesn't like duplicate accounts.

What's wrong with people? just keep your account.

Why would I even want another account, I'm a 99er, the gold standard.

I have no idea. I'd have to go through every single doctor in every single state. I'd have to expand that to the countries I visit or plan to visit. I would much rather be in my situation with my insurance plan than with Medicaid. That is an indisputable fact.

Others will have their own facts.

I'm sure its not 70% but I don't know. Like I say I think only blue cross blue shield is that. I say that because my dad was a mailman and that's who the postal service used.

@pgabriel - Here is a real world example as it pertains to me. In Florida, Medicaid covers physical therapy, but only up to a maximum of $1500 per year. My insurance covers 30 sessions and the sessions are billed at over $200/session. So, right there, my insurance is around $4500 better. Incidentally, I have a Florida BCBS plan.

Interesting to note pgabs did not dispute the notion of the argument being "drunken."

EDIT: and pray, what would pgabs have me add to this scintillating tangent discussion of medical coverage in the systemic racism thread? Lighten up, or stay on topic, or preferably both.

I remember finding out who was in-network was such pain in the ass in the early 2000's. It's so different now because of the integration of insurance info online. I not writing on the quality or breadth of the network, but simply finding out what doctors are available is very doable if you're not an internet simpleton or geriatric two finger typer.

Thanks for the example. That does temper my praise for Medicaid. I'm diabetic but I haven't needed to see specialists. That maybe where insurance plans start to separate themselves.

Number of doctors honestly isn't that important to me as long as you have an adequate amount of choices. Just the only criteria I could simplify
