Just saw some alert that protestors are climbing on a Metro bus downtown. But didn’t see anything else about it. Hope this goes peaceful! The looting and destruction of property is pathetic.
My job called me and said don't bother coming in tonight it will be damn near impossible to get into town. It sounds like the event did well and it was peaceful good job Houston.
VIDEO: White people kneel, ask forgiveness from the black community in Third Ward https://www.click2houston.com/news/...eness-from-the-black-community-in-third-ward/
One of my early experiences when I was moving into Third Ward (so circa 2003) was seeing the black cowboys riding down Southmore. There was a stable on the Museum District side of 288. But it closed soon after I moved in and they moved further south down 288, and that property was sold to build condos. That was too bad because I was psyched about becoming a white black urban cowboy thinking there was going to be a stables next door. I did successfully attend this one, despite torrential rain. Hard to hear anything in person because of the hard rain on the corrugated iron roof. My pastor also spoke, but you don't see him in this clip.
Awesome. But what a covid-bomb it's going to be. My wife marched so even though we're already pretty isolated we're going to be more scrupulous this week in case she's sick.
