    So moving back to Windows from MacOS for years.

    What are people doing these days regarding their photos/media?

    * storage
    * organization
    * light editing

    We have been just using iphotos / icloud principally...

    That might/should work. I don't love icloud, but that might be easiest. Is it basically using iphoto in the cloud?
    i don't particularly like iphoto

    I don't actually know much about it (certainly not the "light editing" features). But just thought if your camera devices were already sending photos to iCloud ... then, I'd rule that out first for your big transition to Windows.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    I mean don’t all the other legit options offer the same feature even from an iPhone? Plus it’s not all just iPhone. We use a dslr quite a bit

    i have a synology SAN that backs up to an iDrive account. I also use Dropbox for documents I work with on a regular basis. Nothing important on my PC.

    Sounds like you want to shop around. I’m of no use in that regard. Just thought I’d point out iCloud exists for Windows.
