those others did not request the unmasking the same day as the washing post article leaked the news... why is this hard for you?

haha. oh you mean he didn't literally go on the computer and remove the retractions? wow. good job.

of course its unusual. VPs have no reason to unmask. Same with Presidents.

Right now, brining Obama into a hearing seems like a good way to drive turnout among Democrats. I mean, normally the Biden campaign would have to pay to get Obama on TV (or YouTube) for 30 seconds at a time.

You do know request and getting the name does not happen simultaneously right?

Do you think it's like a vending machine?

You don't even know if the request was honored.

Good afternoon, Mr. Chairman, I'm ready for my close-up

J/k, in all seriousness, a dry brined Obama may be too salty for Joe Sixpack.

I would love for Obama to testify. Not only will it completely backfire but also it sets precedent for Trump to be called in to testify when he's out of office.

Hence Lindsey's warning to Trump of "be careful what you wish for".

I've been hearing people saying this is situation is unprecedented and I will agree. When has a sitting administration threaten to prosecute the previous President? Ford pardoned Nixon and Carter thanked Ford for doing that. Many on the left wanted members of the Bush 43 Admin. to be prosecuted which Obama resisted.

Also for those who are saying it's unprecedented that an incoming Admin. doesn't have a good experience with the outgoing keep that has happened before. GW Bush's transition team complained about the transition from Clinton, Nancy Reagan famously tried to get into the WH before the Carters had left to start interior decorating. Even Bush 41's transition team complained that the Reagan Admin. wasn't giving them their full support.

...you know what would happen if Senate Republicans got Obama in front of anything resembling an inquiry, don't you,
    fchowd0311?

...it'd be Hillary Clinton v Benghazi hopped up on meth...!

...they'd spend at least 18 hours of testimony time trying to get him to come clean about his REAL identity...not that fake one on his birth certificate...

...that alone is so much red meat that they wouldn't bother tearing it off the bone before they fed it to their captive Fox News audience...;):D

Clinton's admin removed the "W" from all whitehouse computer keyboards.

Obama spied on the incoming national security advisor, an american citizen.

*Pleaded guilty to lying about his crimes to Trump's DOJ twice, after being charged by Trump's DOJ

But, I'm sure the 30 million newly unemployed Americans want and expect to know more about this, I'm sure there's great concern about Steele Dossier and such.

I think the key to the idiocy we see here daily is mistake-in-chief supporters share the dip$hit's profound ignorance in how government works.

Again an interesting angle for someone who supported the PATRIOT Act to take.

I will point out again from the FLynn thread that there was good reason to be suspicious of Flynn. Also there were people in Trump's own transition team that didn't trust Flynn. Chris Christie didn't want him in the administration so it wasn't even a foregone conclusion that he was going to be the NSA advisor.

I highly doubt Obama will be called to testify for the reasons you mention.

This is a distraction to gin up the base. It fits the same pattern as previous Trump actions when things are going bad.

Patriot act enables spying on American. You supported this didn’t you?

The Obama admin didn’t know it was Flynn before they asked to unmask the American that has interaction with the Russian ambassador. You made it sounds like he was targeted. He was not.

Exactly, it’s red meat for the base.

Unmasked names and information on them remains classified. The acting DNI, a trump loyalist, declassify it for political reason. What’s funny is the declassified paper show valid concerns and reasons for investigating Flynn.

Seems like the Obamagate is closing. Let me know when to start the OFFICIAL Obamagate Appreciation thread.

Now, it's not really Obamagate's fault, folks.

Mindshare is somewhat hard to come by, what with the ****ing Trump-induced Coronavirus Holocaust and economic cataclysm. But hey, look on the Richard Bright side of life

    Do'h.

Nevermind actually, just stare at the wall maybe.

Oh the snow fell without a break
Buffalo died in the frozen fields you know
Through the coldest winter in almost fourteen years
    I couldn't believe you kept a smile
Now I can rest assured knowing that we've seen the worst
