If Quinton Dunbar gets released .. I'm just saying, pick him up and call Rusty Hardin to rep him. What a bonehead .. but a solid CB.

They would go on the Commissioner’s Exempt List. No one could sign them until this resolved.

You mean released from prison? Sounds like he will be there for a while

Doubt he even goes. He’ll hire a good lawyer and get probation.

Man I don't know. Baker is looking at a minimum sentence of 10 years. Sounds like this was all planned and if proven, Dunbar can get charged and punished the same. I'm guessing it will be less but I don't see him being let off with just probation.

I don't see that happening if what is being reported is true. He's looking at time. Not as much as Baker but time nonetheless

That's a good point. A contrarian would also point out that both teams will likely be healthier at the beginning of the season than they will be later on, but that's true for us as well. I trust Weaver will be well prepared and look for ways to slow down these offenses, because stopping them for the whole game isn't likely. We have to generate more pass rush and produce more turnovers, especially against KC/BAL.

I didn't read about it all because I don't really care for either player but I anytime I see a current player get into some mess, it just seems like they always get out of it. You could be right though.

Just sign Eric Reid and Larry Warford and call it an offseason

Texans won't pick up guys that r suspected criminals, it's not our style.

Pretty spot on. Everyone O'Brien acquires is overpaid, everyone he gets rid of is traded for pennies on the dollar. Horrible GM.

I think you have to keep Stills. The 3 WRs in front of him are made of glass. Plus I can hold out hope we march out the most talented core of WRs since Slaughter, Jeffires, Duncan and Givens.

But he’s not wrong objectively on this

we did overpay...hopefully they live up to what we paid them, but they all got above market value

and we did get a crap haul for hop including getting back dj who wound up 3rd on the depth chart and is always injured making 10+mill....hopefully that works out, too

But on paper those are all true statements

I’m rooting for everything to work out perfectly, and everyone plays up to their overpay and dj bounces back somehow

and I LOVE the blacklock pick so that eases what we got for hop some

Overpay is relative. Everyone on this board thought Roby at 3y/$36 million was a good deal for the team. He is their #1 CB. At least Barnwell is consistent with extensions. He knocks the Rams for not getting one done when they traded for Ramsey. However, there was NO INCENTIVE for players to do extensions with the CBA on the way. Tunsil said as much. Texans wanted the player, as did the Rams. You knew were going to have to pay them, but at least you got extra time with team control.

His whole thing is basically about Hopkins' trade. We know that. The Texans will be fine on offense. The question is did they do enough in the Secondary and Pass Rush.
