Arbery’s mother told First Coast News, a local broadcast outlet, that her son played football at Brunswick High School, and graduated in 2012. He then attended South Georgia Technical College and was working to be an electrician.

statement from his sister about 6 days ago...

“I’d like to start by saying, he was always proud of his older sister,” Jasmine Arbery told CNN.

“He actually wanted more schooling,” she said. “He wanted to be an electrician, that’s what he was aspiring to be.”

When asked if she ever believed her brother was fleeing the scene of a crime, she said that he was a habitual jogger, so “we immediately believed that the information we received was not true.”

 

He is! I asked the same question and he said:

 

Well, that's not so. It looks like this LET writer wrote an earlier article on Friday as the story was developing and the shooter had not yet been found. That article seems to have been a regurgitation of the story from the Atlanta Journal Constitution (which she links), plus maybe some additional bits of news from twitter. Seems to have basically gotten the facts right in hindsight. Then she wrote an update once the shooter was identified. In that article, she links the NY Post, a local CBS affiliate, and a (ugh) OANN guy's twitter. She quotes the governor saying something inconsequential. Then she reports that "non-mainstream news outlets" are saying it's retaliation, linking one conspiracy site and quoting 2 conspiracy tweets as evidence of that. Then she says "police sources" (which is vague) say they are investigating that angle. In total, she cites something like 6 different sources of information. She doesn't do a fabulous job, because she has some statements of fact where her source is unclear. But she basically sticks to reporting facts and keeps her tone fairly neutral. It's not WSJ quality, but it's better than the Patriot Post. I suppose you can fault her for choosing to report on what cranks in the right-wing conspiracy world are saying, though in a way I think it's useful to know what depths of depravity they've sunk to. After all, they show up in the bbs in the end anyway so we might want to know where it's coming from.

Good research, I missed the links but the fact that she added the "Revenge Killing" in the title and linked to the tweet makes it not a good story IMO.

To me this shows a bit of an agenda and it is definitely is not neutral IMO.

 

Whether someone did kill some other people out of revenge for the killing Ahmaud Arbery has no bearing on the actual Arbery case it self. If someone did actually go out and take revenge that person should be prosecuted for murder and if he specifically targeted white people he should also be charged with a hate crime.

which one of those are non vague and non consipiracy based which gives any fact that the investigators involved are looking if there's a link to Arbery's murder??

 

He’s a troll that wants attention. You can tell by his replies to posts. Now claiming he was stealing a shotgun for example. He doesn’t care one way or the other about either party in this matter.

I think this thread title is divisive and should be changed. It is more divisive than the "wuhan virus" title that was changed.

Mr. Arbery may indeed have been murdered but i dont think he was "murdered for jogging while black".
