Some guy is in my front yard right now. We don’t have sidewalks, so he’s walking in the actual grass.

    Time to load up.

the lawyer is saying that his client wasn’t involved in any way, but in the McMichaels statement to the police on February 23rd, they state that he had attempted to cut Arbery off while he was running down the road

The man who attorneys say recorded the video, Roddy, is also discussed in the incident report detailing the shooting.

Gregory McMichael told investigators Roddy attempted to block Arbery, but was unsuccessful, according to the incident
report released by the Glynn County Police Department.

I really don't think it matters whether he was a jogger or not.

This is Zimmerman all over again. Shouldn't be stalking people with guns unless it's a life and death situation.

I always assume minority UPS workers are gunning for my packages rather than delivering them. Can never be too cautious with their long cons...

What's this lawyer's talk about Roddy's relationship with some lady?

The lawyer is basically saying that deliberate obstruction of justice has been going on because the McMichaels have connections to law enforcement, and that his client's life may even be in danger because of that.

Quite serious allegations, and I don't think an attorney would make these lightly.

Whoever is defending the McMichaels seems to have chosen the losing side here.

They reported he at first tried to run around one of them. That is what one the arrested men and the one that was with the said.

Let's not jump the gun, there. Is it possible the guy has ever shoplifted something in his past? If that's the case, then yes, you should arm yourself and immediately pursue if he tries to run away.

Yeah totally the same as prowling a construction site and matching the description of someone caught on camera prowling the area. Yeah totally the same damn thing.

You did say that. I mean I can't argue with that. It is a fact that you said that.

It is the same, except he didn't choose to use the word 'prowling' which you chose to do in order to make one sound more sinister than the other.

Did the guy "prowling" the construction site for 3 or so minutes in the middle of the day who had no stolen goods....no weapon...wasn't threatening anyone... was apparently headed out of that area on foot...deserve to be chased and confronted by two guys with guns?

It's hilarious because even the construction site owner is throwing the father and son under the bus.

The owner of the god damn property all the racists are claiming was the "reasonable" justification to chase after Arbery literally is saying that he wanted zero part in going after Arbery because he took nothing.

This is one of the more convoluted things i've seen in a while, and the media frenzy makes it way worse.

So we've got Arbery going to a different area, and then enterting a property at night, on multiple occasions. seems dodgy

Then we've got 2 cowboy style confronting him, seems really dodgy

Then we have Arbery charging at the guy with the shotgun, a front on rush of a guy with a shotgun, especially when there's also another armed person seems suicidal, unfortunately we don't have audio, because i'd want to know what was said that led that event, such as whether they were threatening to kill him, or whether they said they'd called the police and to wait or just about anything else (because obviously the former would pre-empt such behavior whereas the latter wouldn't).

Georgia as far as i'm aware has the loosest interpretation of stand your ground, so i'm not expecting a conviction without some more information.

Legality aside, there's nothing good or right about this entire series of events :/

I actually received a letter about a new high risk sex offender named “death wish, xx” that is now living within a mile of my house. From a far this guy looked like him. I’m not sure but “death wish, xx” may be more dangerous than someone who walks on to construction sites.

But I don’t have your testicular fortitude, so what do I know?

You don't have the right to just go around people's community and trespass repeatedly without arousing suspicion and eventually being confronted. Nice try at defending this angel, but we all know, and you especially know deep down, this dude was up to no damn good. No one is saying the guy should be defacto killed. No one.

there was at least 1 previous attempt to block arbery

and that explains why arbery felt his life was threatened
