Not to get involved too involved but heres a list of quick healthy stuff i like to cook

    1: PB and bannana sanwich
2: rice with spinach : make the rice in a can of spinach and a little extra water or chicken broth instead of just water ( add tuna /beans/whatever later)
    3: grilled chicken
4: buy some frozen fried fish and frozen broccoli
5: apples , grapes other fruit require near zero prep
    6: eggs / omlete

Cleaning the kitchen takes longer than cooking . Now , if you're cooking for kids its a bit different. But honestly its not necessarily access or price that's preventing a lot of healthy eating ( dont get me wrong i know there are food deserts and sometimes access and price IS an issue, just not for most) the main issue is knowledge.

MCdonalds is "healthy" as long as you eat it in moderation. Drink lots of water , dont eat to excess, and get some exercise. That formula will work for 95% of people ... and you can mix in fast food and " unhealthy" food too as long as you're not overdoing it.

Stop and talk... wait for the police to show up... or run... he had options other than escalation. Grappling a damn weapon? The last thing you should try to do is give someone a reason to pull that trigger.

It's easy to be calm when you don't experience a truck full of armed white men in a state that has immense history of lynching and racism waiting for you when you are black.

Those men had no standing in detaining him. Again Georgia statue requires civilians to immediately witness a felony in front of them to have a legal merit in detaining someone. These men didn't. They attempted to detain another individual with the threat of firearms which is illegal given the statute applied to their context.

The most obvious form of man slaughter is commiting an illegal act that results in someone's death through negligence. For example, someone hitting and murdering someone while driving intoxicated. Zero intention to harm someone but their criminal negligence led to the death of someone hence man slaughter.

These men's criminal negligence of illegally attempting to detain someone as civilians led to a death. Man slaughter.

You know I routinely jog with a hammer and boots. This case makes a lot of sense. I'm sure ya'll are right by jumping to a conclusion on this one and further details won't bite you in the ass.

It doesn't matter if they were wrong or right. He made a fatal error and paid for it with his life. Honestly the last thing I would do is charge a shotgun... just me. Maybe you would in the heat of the moment, but something tells me even you have more sense than that.

Regardless of him making an "error", those men should be charged and convicted of man slaughter given the Georgia statute on citizens' arrest.

What? Hammer? Are you referring to a 4 pixel object on the ground? Any police report of a hammer found?

belief that someone fits a description to a crime you heard about may not be enough to detain a person by force. All the facts are not clear and there will be a trail to determine all of this.

I personally hope That laws are clarified. Citizens should only be allowed to use force to defend their properly or to protect people from imminent danger. Also this was not a crime in progress.

simply believing that some is a criminal Because they fit a description isn’t good enough.

    You mean this one?

"A private person may arrest an offender if the offense is committed in his presence or within his immediate knowledge. If the offense is a felony and the offender is escaping or attempting to escape, a private person may arrest him upon reasonable and probable grounds of suspicion."

Can't wait to see how this plays out in court because there are all sorts of laws neither you nor me really have familiarity with. But I think it's more complex in a court room than it is in the kangaroo court of the Internet. Something tells me there is plenty more to this story than meets the first reports.

What do you think about the hammer? Or the video footage of him at the construction site? Hammer or boots, which I would say are maybe not even true at all but it wouldn't shock me, are still odd things to be showing up in the yes blurry footage. But I will say there is more going on here as additional footage gets released. Do you think it's possible these men had a reason to make that arrest and call the police?

I don't think you know how to read sentences. The sentence preceding the one you underline is the conditional sentence.

You are failing to grasp that these men may have had probable or reasonable suspicion of a felony offense. And that may be a smaller part of this. The guy stood his ground... there are separate laws for that.

No they didn't. They didn't witness any crime that man committed.

Good point. I’m always rational when people chase me down and pull guns on me.

    Doesn't matter. Dude charged him.

And we will see about how valid this was in time. And that again won't matter imo.
