whats that you say DoJ? you can't even prove he lied? I was told that its been shown many times over that he is guilty. how can this be?

    Unbelievable.

    Our justice system has collapsed.

Barr is so corrupt, it really is beyond belief.

One important point the dismissal statement made: Flynn pleaded guilty to lying believing the lie was material to a criminal investigation, but only because the prosecutors told him it was material.

But it wasn't material (because DoJ already had the transcript of the call, and because there was nothing criminal about the call), so Flynn guilty plea was based on false information.

How am I supposed to read this.
A lie Is not a lie because ...

why even pretend like there is law. He lied . He plead guilty. But charges got dropped because AG was trying to please somebody. Never thought Barr would stoop this low. I would have understood if he showed materiality story and cut a deal or something but Dropping charges.....

how is DOJ going to file charges against anyone who lie to FBI in future???

Is this ‘deconstruction of administrative state’

Has to be material to a criminal investigation, and this wasn't.

If you tell the FBI the sky is green, they can't prosecute you for that, it isn't material.

    tl;dr entire thing
    https://www.lawfareblog.com/flynn-redux-what-those-fbi-documents-really-show

Bits at the end were interesting though. Flynn could gamble on Barr not putting heat on further investigation, (the original reason why he plead guilty in the first place) and asking the judge to withdraw his guilty plea.

All comes full circle, I suppose.

With Unlimited Power, it means we clean the Swamp and fix the system right?

    Wait. No.

I don't mean "fix" the system, just fix the system.

Quit b****ing. Roll up your sleeves, do hard work, and win the respect of the people.

Again, a criminal gets away with crime, but since he is connected to trump and the it helps trump...retrumplicans support this. In the mean time, anyone that lies to the FBI will now have a precedent to use in their own defense. And the rule of law takes another hit.

    ill help you.

they dropped charges because they had no basis for a criminal interrogation. This is verifiable from the documents released last week. so the precedent you are concerned about has existed forever. Law enforcement needs a basis to go after someone.

the DoJ also says there is not evidence to prove Flynn lied (despite your dumb tweets) or that even if he did lie that it was material. Even if you had access to the original 302 (you don't), you would still not know if he lied. the 302, the only documentation of the conversation, is just notes. hardly proof. You assume guilt, because a guy who was bankrupt and was being threatened with prosecution of his kids, plead guilty and then retracted that plea. This is stupid.
