90% of the cars that goes to Houston Food Bank has nicer car than me. Seeing some of the cars, or trucks with big wheels going to these events are kind of weird.

The fact that Kansas and Arkansas are pronounced differently bothers me way more than it should

Have a friend who's from Egypt point this out to me a couple years ago, said he got laughed at shortly after he came here for pronouncing Arkansas as "our-can-suss". What bothered me more than their not being pronounced the same was that it was something I had never previously noticed / considered.

The scam that foaming soap is. Being at home full time noticed I go through that stuff way faster than traditional gel soap not to mention you're paying for higher water content. Seen some stuff online saying to dilute gel soap with water one part to two to refill the dispenser, may give that a go of I don't just replace it altogether with a non-foaming dispenser.

Today I learned that some ****ing genius at the US Mint decided that this should be the initial design for the "America the Beautiful" series of quarters...it was released in January:

I guess at least they didn't put zombies or aliens or sharks with freaking lasers on it.

The Old Smokey grill is hands down, the best value grill/smoker you could ever have. Highly recommend, it's cheap and it outperforms any other charcoal, offset, or pellet smoker out there.

This isn't news, but I'm glad you noticed it. We're a consumer society and a good chunk of people live above their means. That's why you see a 100k vehicle in front of a busted-ass old house or trailer.

I hope people learned these lessons:

    1. Don't live above your means
    2. Stop eating so much meat
    3. Exercise

this is true in most other developing countries. i see people who live in very small houses the size of my closet with dope motorcycles (i use a scooter). hell the cleaning service people in my office has cool ninja motorcycles, but they borrow money almost every month to survive.

That sparked an old memory about a shipmate in the Navy. She drove an old car that needed mechanical repairs badly. They had a child with one on the way. After her husband reenlisted he used a chunk of his reenlistment bonus for very expensive gold rims for his car.

I learned that everyone was using Zoom to communicate over the Internet on talk shows, TV specials, etc. . Now, Microsoft has come along with commercials acting like everyone is or should be using Microsoft Teams. Well...f*ck you, Microsoft. ;)
