Has the bar been set so low that people are wishing for Bush to return to office. The same Bush that almost destroyed the economy and dragged the US into a trillion dollar war in the Middle East. Man this Trump guy has done the impossible.

Do not EVER book a cruise from this company. I booked a Med cruise months ago which was cancelled after this pandemic started. It was cancelled over a month ago and I have yet to receive a cent back. They are too busy booking people for the future to process refunds. I was on hold for over an hour today until I finally reached an agent who couldn't give me any information. She then transferred me to their resolutions department, which took over another hour for someone to answer. Again, no answer to when I would get my money back. It has been a very frustrating afternoon for me after spending 2 1/2 hours on the phone and getting the run-around. That company disgusts me. Delta, on the other hand refunded my money within a week for my flight to Ireland. At least they provide decent customer service.

It scared me then, and I couldn't understand why we weren't stopping the travel. I didn't need any Presidential briefings to figure out that this wasn't just a flu as Trump kept spurting off about. The situation in Italy was a big red flag in my eyes. I couldn't understand why Trump didn't see that. After all, he is supposed to be so smart. I don't call myself a genius, but I sure saw the threat. I didn't need medical experts and advisors to brief me about it. All I had to do was read the world news. Now it is National news. Now we have a President seeing deaths at rates far beyond projections, yet he is rallying and pushing to open it up. He is turning a blind eye to the truth once again, and will blame the Governors when it all goes wrong. I'm actually scared of Trump leading this country any more. Quit focusing on China and focus on the current situation!
Yes, the bar is that low. Oh, I wouldn't want him as president. My point, of course, is that trump is so horrific, such a disaster, that President Bush looks good in comparison. He does. Bill Clinton and Barack Obama look absolutely fantastic in comparison to trump, and were positively brilliant presidents next to trump's staggering, brutal failure as the guy in the White House. I'll add that I was sincere about the work George W. did making that video. It was very good.
So very true, I will add I agree on Bush's video. Bush maybe not be the smartest president around you but you can't fault his love of America. With Trump sadly that is not the case. It is himself first then country second. Trump is not dumb; he is a selfish prick than only cares about is himself.
I gotta admit I am feeling very pessimistic. This morning I was reading an FB post from one of my former Judo students. She had the disease and thought she recovered but is feeling like it might be coming back. In a few days our death toll has jumped by almost 10,000 from 60,000 to crossing 70,000 sometime today. Instead of buckling down to fight this disease this country is rushing to do the exact opposite. If this is a war the virus is winning. The will of a population to sustain a war is the most important factor in victory and right now our will is wavering.
We are the new Roman Empire...we have become entitled, selfish and only care about what we want instead of what's best for our society. Rule of law doesn't matter, corruption spreads, and power goes unchecked; all signs of a nation that became too full of itself. Honestly, as bad as this sounds, some good for our society might come of this. Maybe this pandemic will be the wake-up call for a number of people at how our republic is crumbling because of who we keep putting in office. I have my doubts, but we'll see.
