Always thought Rita Moreno was vastly underrated.

One of my favorite films and one I’ve seen many times. The original, endlessly copied, and still, as you point out, the best car chase ever. My father loved it so much, he laid that ‘65 fastback on me and bought one like McQueen had. I couldn’t believe my luck!

I had gone with him to a Ford dealership in Orange, Texas to pick up the 2+2 in 1965. The father of one of his students owned the dealership (Dad was a professor) and arranged to get him one of the first in Texas. I think it cost under $3500 dollars. He even had the little metal model they gave with the early ones. Exact copies. They’re collectibles now. I still have it in a box somewhere. His even has the same color interior. The doors, hood, and truck open. Here’s one below:

Not a classic yet, but certainly a true ‘classic’ beauty and the heir to Jennifer Connelly in my book with nice curves and a beautiful face. If you haven’t watched season 1 of True Detective then you’re missing out.

Alexandra Daddario is certainly a beauty but we still need to give her 20 years before being considered a classic beauty.

Just for that we're going to the true Classical era.

I opened up my hbo app to catch up on Westworld, and by coincidence they have a new Natalie Wood documentary premiering this month.

I would give a lot to be able to see the Sleeping Maenid when it was new, untouched by time. I've been to that museum more than once. Quite an experience.

Thanks for the heads-up, @Ottomaton. What a stroke of luck! I've been thinking about her a lot lately. I was always a fan. She could nail any role. Sadly, she wasn't given her fair share of good ones. Want to see her as a comedian? Watch The Great Race. A dramatic actress? That are many choices, West Side Story being an obvious one.

That is a far better idea! You know the model for the artist was very likely as beautiful as the sculpture, perhaps even more so, if that’s possible.

Real and spectacular, in the truest sense of the word.

Michelle Phillips from the Mamas & the Papas. Pretty much think of her as the prototype for beautiful 60s hippie girls.
