We'll hit 100K in a few weeks. What's more disturbing is many people don't care. Many people will say we didn't hit 2.2 million so the projections were all wrong and this thing is just exaggerated. Or they will say that those 100K were people who were sick and dying anyway. Or worse there really isn't that much dead and that is just hospitals and the media lying to get more money.

Trump's own projections now call for the death rate to double. We're looking at 6 figure monthly death tolls into the summer. That's absolute madness, but anyway eventually everybody is going to personally know a casualty at that rate.

I know several people who have had it. One of my friends aunt died from it I know here on Clutchfans there are people who have had it and or family members have had it.

Maybe it's just me but I find it surprising that so many people still say they don't know anyone who has had it.

The U.S. is 44th in test/M worldwide (22k/M), right behind Belarus. Completely embarrassing...

And still far less than the predicted 2.2 million deaths. If only 100,000 die then I would say he's done an admirable job.

What I hope happens is all the nations around the world ban together with our leadership and make China forgive debt for all nations. Then remove all supply chains from China and either move them back to their countries. If they cant do that then move the supply chains to India/Bangladesh/Indonesia.

That should make China think twice about putting another plague on the world.

Agreed, maybe he can do a "Mission Accomplished" speech when we pass 100k next week on the deck of the Theodore Roosevelt so we can all express our admiration

Even if 200,000 die that's a far less number than predicted.

Plus the stay at home order has dropped the normal death rate so things should somewhat even out.

2.2 Million was the worst-case scenario. Are you moving the hurdle to where as long as we don't have the absolute worst case scenario, then he's done a good job?

Maybe we can have a speech on 2 aircraft carriers then. And another to celebrate 20% unemployment.

You can't make a MAGA omelette without breaking 200,000 eggs and destroying the economy

I think Eichmann tried this defense. 6 million? Coulda been more if not for those meddling kids!

I can see the speech now. “Some were saying that up to 50 million people could die from this. That’s what they were saying, smart people. The smartest....”

Trump keeps boasting about how the U.S. has conducted far more tests than any other country. But, I don’t hear him boasting about how the U.S. has far more cases and far more deaths than any other country.

There are countries that have done a much better job at containing the virus than the United States. Trump really shouldn’t be doing any boasting about anything. We have almost 70,000 dead in this country, and that number will ultimately be much higher. Nothing to boast about.

Nope, I'm just saying 200,000 isn't a bad number, when you consider the worst case scenario and figure in the lives saved because of the stay at home order. If all you really care about is saving lives then just keep the stay at home order in place permanently and I guarantee you the death rate will fall.

The Chinese did this. They're the only people to blame for this.

No, along with 60% or more of everyone else, I blame the President along with the assholes who voted for him, for his ongoing disastrous response that enabled this cataclysm.

Screw him, his enablers and his voters. You all are responsible.

The Chinese have done a great job of bringing the world economy to a halt. This is nobody's fault but the Chinese. They should have to pay the rest of the world for their misdeeds.

This has nothing to do with Trump except the measures he's used to keep the death rate down. BTW, I do pest control for 75 nursing homes around the state and alot of the people that have died in nursing homes were terminally ill and on deaths door step to begin with.

LMAO, far less than predicted have died and you give this response. Tell me where and how this pandemic came about. That's where the blame lies and your hate of all things Trump cant change those facts. I can see you're not interested in having a discussion.

Tried to give that one a chance, but that's a kool-aid drinker right there. Notice all of the FOX News bullet points being spouted.

It has everything to do with Trump.

Protecting us from Pandemic s originating abroad is the federal government's responsibility, with the bulk of this power in the executive branch.

He failed so miserably that the greatest catastrophe in a century is the result.

That is bad, And it is entirely his fault, along with his decrepit enablers.
