Clutchfans.... don’t do this, don’t trash Jordan (comical) just because you like Harden.

This is a problem with the media not Jordan...

No doubt, too many white stuff back. In mj era

Harden has to play with people from all over the world

Mj is like babe Ruth, kicked ass playing against white guys like lambieer and ehlo and Bobby Jones and Mark Eaton and Jack skima and Jim petersen

Doesn't this get old? Everyday...talking hypotheticals about how one player from 30 years ago would match up to players from now?

I feel like NBA fans are the only ones that do this. This constant talk about Jordan.

    Yaaaaaaaaawn.

Yeah, but Harden isn't facing Laimbeer, Salley or Rodman slapping him and tearing him a new one, roughening him up without a foul being called.

Just referencing old interviews and documentories regarding a young Jordan's personality and behavior. We should all be lucky that Jordan was born in 1963 so that there were less distractions allowing him to focus his passion in sports, mainly basketball.

This makes no sense especially in relation to Harden who is well known for extracurricular vices such as big booties and alcohol at strip clubs.

Well, if First Take says it, then you know it is false.

Although this one is probably true. Jordan did what he did in a era of much more physical defense, hand checking, etc.

So, not exactly a hot take, but hey, whadda ya want from nothin'?

Yea this thread is kinda cringe right now. You’re seeing harden slurping and Jordan hating...the two make for Cringe the second you take the homer goggles off

Jordan adapted his game more than anymore, he went from air to fade-away, to make the 3 argument is just damn silly. He wasn’t this or that, he was a complete player and a winner

Appeasing one's social appetite is natural and not addictive compared to the likes of artificial gaming. After you're done you can move on to another testosterone or masculinity driven activity such as physical exertion in the form of competitive basketball. Jordan had a clear path obsession with basketball but his prior interests and behavior also suggests he would be so addicted to gaming that would have deviated him from reaching his true basketball potential in today's era.

so a couple things your point brings up..

    1) harden actually just got bloodied in both eyes (no foul) in the biggest series of last season's playoffs (and elbowed to the head by artest 7yrs prior)

    2) that pistons squad was actually the best team jordan had to go thru for any of his titles, and they were already on the decline when he finally beat them. he wasn't taking down historic dream teams like worriers or even lebron's heat

And let's not pretend there aren't bad 3 pt shooters who are dominating in the league right now with someone like Giannis whos career trajectory is higher than Harden's.

His three point shooting is irellevent because even without being a good 3 pt shooter he was still getting above 60% ts routinely. If Harden had Jordan's shot selection his TS would plummet below 55%.

The Jazz were historic. The Magic had all time great talent. You some how just put down the Rockets champions runs. You do know the Rockets 95 team had one of the toughest runs to a ring in league history right?

Also, a eye poke is incidental. That can happen even if the league had ultra soft fouling regulations. Not saying Harden wouldn't excel in the 90s as his strength and ball handling would be the best out of all shooting guards then but I'm pretty confident his ftr would decrease and he wouldn't have the green light to jack up 11 three pointers a game which would severely diminish his scoring efficiency and he probably wouldn't have those 35 ppg seasons. He's still be a consistent 26+ ppg guy but on lower efficiency.

the jazz were historic in what way? how many rings did the jazz/tragic stack? the rockets run was remarkable because they did it from the 6th seed, not because they beat the 90's hampton five

one eye poke incidental, two eye pokes double-incidental? you are trying very hard to make this thread about the guy you hate. my point is about jordan not being able to score "40-50 pts on 75% shooting in this era", or anything close to that. i saw him every season of his career, so i am well aware of his greatness, both from an athletic as well as ultra-competitive standpoint. and i believe he would win multiple championships in the current era as well. but not 6

Any statement what so and so would do in this era from the past is foolish. You cannot just take a player as he was and isolate him from the environment he was raised in, the rules of the game etc. It’s likely that in some areas MJ would excel while in others struggle.

However, he had a habit of working on parts of his game he was poor at. There’s no telling if he would’ve worked on his three point shot, something that would really affect his impact.

I am not even watching that as they are unlikely to bring any of this up. These fools don’t even realise that it’s stuff like this that makes people not like MJ and will not accept him as the greatest, the irony is too funny.

God speed to nba, worldwide including harden!

Ron artest might give Jordan tough time in addition to Matt Barnes, Tony 'first team All defense' Allen.

Using a picture of LeBron: "Can't compare eras. LeBron shares lots of accolades with MJ"

Using a picture of Giannis: "Too early to tell. Giannis is reigning MVP."

Using a picture of Harden: "MJ would have D E S T R O Y E D Harden bc Harden plays no defense. And MJ would have clamped him."

    lol @ Jazz being Historic.

    They won jack ****.

Karla would always find a way to choke.

He choked both free throws in the Finals.

He choked in the final minutes against the Rockets in the 95 series in front of his own fans.

They came back empty handed every season after chanting every season that it was "their year"

They were cheaters. Stockton was notorious for elbowing people and taking shots below the belt while hiding behind his choir boy look.

Karla was a cheating flopper on both ends that took dirty shots at the players.

Even their friggin clock keeper cheated and tried to get the Jazz a playoffs win lol.

Took a cheating bear hug to finally put them past an aging and declining Rockets team.

The following year that aging Rockets team had them out again until Barkely went out with the injury in the series.

There was absolutely nothing historic about that Jazz team which is why they didnt win anything.

One of the greatest justices in the NBA world was both Stockton and Malone retiring ringless.
