These guys just have too much time. Imagine sitting there by yourself not being to see your family and slowly dying. My grandmother’s sister just lost her husband. They were married 59 years and she couldn’t see him and spend his last days with him. callous
I just see people that say stuff like this and being garbage human beings. Plan and simple. I may not agree with their religious beliefs or political beliefs but I will damned if I will contribute in possible infecting someone's loved one due to a belief that sitting down in a restaurant is worth more than other's life.
Some of these vermin have made their lives speaking in front of other people. They're pretty much getting paid to spread these ideas and test our response or indifference. I'm not sure what people or political group is feeding and consuming these ideas, but the divisiveness in the recent decades has made me open for the other to have "their comeuppance". However, as the virus has proven, we're all the same. Red blood, body parts, etc... No amount of "bioengineered lab leaks" will change that fact. We'll live together. We'll die together, even if some crazies want for others to be sooner than later while they're cooped up in their "walls".
Nobody, including Democratic office holders, is talking about lockout in perpetuity. Here's the latest from California's Governor, for example: https://www.cnbc.com/2020/05/01/cor...-not-weeks-away-from-easing-restrictions.html The issue has always been under what conditions businesses would be allowed to operate in order to prevent situations like Italy where people who could have survived died because medical resources are overwhelmed. It's not an all or nothing issue like some of you simple-minded people want to present the choice as.
I will just point out that Ben is right to bring up the difficulty of balancing things. He's not wrong.
who are these “in perpetuity” people? I’ve never met one or read of one, so, I think it’s a straw man. everyone has ideas that move us toward normalcy. Those who use science and information have one set of approaches. Those who do not apparently just want to cross their fingers and give it a whirl. It’s lazy, selfish, and predictable.
Why would you say something like that? No one's ok with anyone dying, it doesn't matter if they're Republican, Democrat, Christian, Jew, etc.
Its what happens when you have no legitimate argument when defending the indefensible. A symptom of trumpism...
Old people are ruining the economy with their burdensome lives. signed, 1933 germany or republican party platform in 2020? https://www.ushmm.org/information/exhibitions/online-exhibitions/special-focus/nazi-persecution-of-the-disabled https://www.britannica.com/event/T4-Program https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2020/03/dan-patrick-coronavirus-grandparents https://www.salon.com/2020/04/15/millionaire-gop-congressman-allowing-more-americans-to-die-is-less-evil-than-keeping-economy-closed
I know how the right needs to put every idea in a box in order to corral it. No one wants to be in lockdown for perpetuity. No one. Listening to a**-wipes say it's okay for Gramma and Grampa to die doesn't make us morally superior. It makes us angry. My mom is 72 and has underlying health issues. My dad is 75, same thing. But they otherwise have decent years left without me having to bury them as a sacrifice to Trump's mendacity. If Ben Shapiro were older than 36 and had ever known a day in his smug little existence of ill health, maybe........MAYBE....he wouldn't be so callous as to dismiss human life.
