While this widespread dependence on China could limit the degree of criticism Beijing gets in the short term, that does not mean it is impervious. Reports of faulty test kits and defective masks have already proved a blow to China’s diplomacy, as a number of countries are opting to reject Chinese-made equipment.

When I asked Madan whether the Chinese government cares about its perception among the Indian public, she said it’s unlikely. “They still think that their primary audience is the Indian government [because] that’s who they can get stuff done with,” she said.

This may be the case for now, but it could prove problematic for Beijing in the long term. After all, how India—and, indeed, the rest of the world—perceives China in this moment will likely impact its global perception long after the pandemic has passed. “Being oblivious to the sentiments of 1.3 billion people of a country whose median age is 27 is not a sign of wisdom,” Nitin Pai, a co-founder and the director of the Takshashila Institution, told me in an email, “for they will see you as an adversary for the rest of their long lives.”

with everyone, including one another. Hindi is one of 40 languages spoken in India. More people speak English than Hindi so all the major companies use English as the standard business language.

Few years ago when I was traveling all over India I was shocked when I had to rely on English more then Hindi in south India.

Hardly anyone spoke Hindi and so many people spoke English.

Mukt is an adjective, you'd need to use a verb here or have a verb like karana

India's economy is 1/6th the size of China's with the same population size. While a lot of people are pissed off any fight between India & China, India loses.

China just has a lot of people by the balls.
Sanctions on China are going to hurt many economies more than China's.

Unless there is a concerted led effort by the US & Europe to put economic pressure on companies and China, no other country or region can stand up to China.

    As an Australian
While a lot of Australians are frustrated with China hiding information early, we understand we don't have the influence or power to stand up to China.

Incredibly how many poorly informed people feel the need to make their opinions heard on the internet.

If faulty equipment are being offered what is the use of that? This is beyond horrific and 'sovereignty' or whatever it's called shouldn't be applicable...

Japan is not paying companies to move out of China.
This is a better article on the matter. It's just money ear marked to companies to deal with disruptions in the supply chain

    https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2...lp-firms-shift-production-china/#.XqioCcl_X3A

USA ofcourse is best positioned to lead any effort. And the trade war has affected trade, wow what a surprise. The question is when the trade war is over what happens, do they go back or stay elsewhere. US companies with international shareholders are inherently going to be more interested in profit than international relations.

Also you mentioned the biggest & 3rd biggest economies. Even if they were getting into a fight with China both economies would hurt. Smaller economies I'm saying have less pull.
