In a 7 game series, do you think our 2018 Rockets team with Chris Paul, Ariza, Luc, PJ, ect would beat a KD + Russ Thunder team with Ibaka & Adams?
If healthy the 2018 team would have beaten the Warriors with Durant. They would have beaten those Thunder teams...easily. The 2018 squad is gonna be a forgotten all time great team because CP3 got hurt at the wrong time.
whoops. accidentally clicked the wrong choice. Rockets all day. that 2018 team was on the verge of beating a dynasty. easily one of the greatest teams to actually not win one. okc wouldn't put up nearly the same level of fight
They almost beat a team with KD, Steph, Green and Klay. What makes you think that KD+Russ can beat that 2018 team
that OKC team lacked spacing and was playing guys like Kanter and Waiters as well as a huge offensive liability in Roberson the 2018 Rockets were amazing at exploiting and taking advantage of a team’s weaknesses oh, and for all the love KD gets as this unstoppable scorer, his performance in the playoffs was similar to Harden’s before he went a joined a stacked team: 29, 8, and 4 on 58% TS...Harden is at 28, 6, and 7 on 57% TS for his Rockets career Harden’s 2018 playoff run: 29, 5, and 7 on 55% TS KD’s 2016 playoff run: 28, 7, and 3 on 54% TS 2018 CP3>pretty much every year of Westbrook’s career aside from his MVP season Rockets in 6...they were an all-time great team, the 2016 Thunder are not Yolo accidentally picked OKC, but who tf gave them their other votes? Come out and explain why. I gotta hear it.
I think KD and Russ could have won a series against the GSW, if KD had the killer instinct or Russ could have shot consistently.
CP3 and Harden would destroy Beta KD and Russ. KD and Russ both are both mental midgets as we all know KD and Russ spend more time fighting each other saying " It's my shots. Pass me the ball man. WTF???"
We were good enough to beat GS with KD, while KD and WB was good enough to beat the original Warriors. Both teams were robbed, but i'd take us over kD+russ
Honestly, I only put that in there because it's repeated so often around here that it's assumed to be incontrovertible truth that "We were a Chris Paul hammy away from a championship."
I'll take a highly motivated and healthy CP3 over Westbrook any day. The only drawback with the Rockets and it's players is that we don't necessarily get players n their respective primes. If we had gotten Tmac before he started his injury years or CP3 in his early 30's we would have definitely gotten to a few NBA finals already.
We haven't seen Prime Harden and Prime KD duo though. A prime SF to big men tweener. Just stock up on defenders. I think that would be most intriguing.
