A sitting president of the United States asking the question... why should I worry about states and cities with Governors and Mayors of the other political party...
Trump's Sunday rant scrubbed from Twitter. Over the weekend, Trump railed about journalists on Twitter in a typo-strewn rant in which he repeatedly confused the Pulitzer Prize with the Nobel Prize (which lacks a journalism category) and spelled Nobel "Noble" throughout. Trump (or a handler) has deleted the tweets, but they live on in the archives.
I'd love to see the facts basing that statement. No way do I believe only Democrats are asking for bailout help. Something sure reeks, and that fishy smell seems to be coming from an angry orange.
We know it isn't just Democrats, but cities needing bailouts are overwhelmingly run by Democratic Mayors. More to do with population of cities than anything political. Most Republican states receive more federal dollars than they pay in. Pretty sure we bailout Florida annually for hurricane damage, but I don't think we should blame their Republicans.
And yet, people will defend him. I just don't understand it. People will lose their **** because a black man silently protest the flag by kneeling, but a President actually asking dividing questions on the unity of our states will get applause from the mouth breathers. It's honestly scary how stupid humans are.
It really is terrifying when you have to confront it. Of all the "why" questions to ask one's God, that's at the top of the list. And then I see my far left friends on Facebook, etc, talking about how the pandemic is a great wakeup call, and everyone will have more reasonable and humane priorities afterwards and our farts will even smell like cinnamon and nutmeg after quarantine, and I'm just like... do you even reality, brosephs and brosephines?
This raises the question... should all things be approached on a state by state basis, red states and blue states? Affordable health care? Only provide the blue states. Unfettered access to guns? Red states. Higher taxes (but public schools, libraries, etc)... blue states. No taxes (and no schools), red states. heck, we could split the country in two... blue states and red states. Heck, give them catchy names like "Union" states and "Confederate" states.
that's fine how states want to administer and police their own. but it's the responsibility of the federal govt to provide what the states need
What... the federal government has a role in this? The president of the United States too? Whoa... that's crazy talk...
Oh, with all the tariffs I doubt many farmers would agree. Farm and farm real estate debt is growing at record rates. The higher crop and livestock cash receipts do not fully offset the loss in federal government payments. And the tariff relief bailouts? Going mostly to large farms... and, as trump secretary of agriculture sonny perdue, "That's just the way it happens." Trade war relief money mostly going to large farms Some small farmers are spending years in the red as big farms get the lion's share of payments from a $28 billion bailout meant to make up for the loss of their export market to China. Now, they're also facing the coronavirus pandemic. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trade-...20-04-30/?ftag=CNM-00-10aab7e&linkId=87714248
LOL... even citing an outlier poll, trump manages to lie about everything he said (even the gallup doesn't show 96% retrumplican approval, and even that poll has trump below 50% approval, even trump friendly rasmussen shows only 45% approval, and gallup 's poll is only measuring approval, not trump vs Biden, who leads in virtually every GE poll). But that's the advantage of having no integrity... you can lie about everything.
