More like p***y flip flopper who can't bear responsibility of his middling thoughts and actions in the near future.
Struck a nerve i see... Where were all these TDS types before covid? Exactly. The game is clear.... paint trump as pro china as possible with propaganda.
So a business man shouldn't run? This is the dumb **** his supporters eat up. And believe me its dumb.
People in business should be able to run but they need to separate themselves from their business. Either by divesting or putting their ownership in a blind trust. At the minimum they should make their financial records including tax returns public. For me I've always considered the most problematic thing about Trump is that he is a literal emoluments violation. There is a consistent pattern of Trump businesses benefitting from the actions of this Presidency and this was precisely what the Founders had in mind when they wrote the emoluments clause.
No a business person should not have to make their records public. Finances are personal that's why your records aren't public. The only legitimate argument is he should put his businesses in a trust but there is an argument you shouldn't have to do that. They can argue that I need to make final business decisions. The conflict of interest is a legit concern but its remedies should not assume guilt. This is America. It's no big deal when a senator from Illinois or a governor from Texas releases financial information. We know their income before they got those jobs. Releasing tax returns is a not old tradition. Nobody cared for most of this country's existence
Rules regarding these issues shouldn't hinge on politics. That being said Republicans respect business owners, starters, etc. They don't respect career politicians. People steady b****ing about not seeing his tax returns only solidify his support. Rachel Maddow getting his tax returns showing the billion dollar write off got probably the most embarrassing thing to find. Embarrassing not illegal 7 Let this topic go. Please Edit: And Democrats assuming he is doing illegal things because he owns businesses only feed the narrative that Democrats are free enterprise hating communists. Let it go
Trump needs to lie as the rest of us need food and water. He's a con man and a cheat. He tried to sue a bank that dared come after him when he defaulted on their gigantic loan. You guys really have blinders on, but Trump's been shielded all his life.
First off we don't have to assume anything we know he has settled cases for fraud including last year when he admitted to defrauding charities for veterans. Second we know that he has done several things that certainly appear to benefit Trump businesses such as overcharging the Secret Service at Trump properties and redirecting the military to stay at Trump properties. Further don't you think someone losing a billion dollars is probably something that voters should know when assessing the capabilities of an office holder. Trump specifically is the example of why we need more transparency. Besides Trump though businesses these days are very complicated and for anyone who has a very wide ranging portfolio there are many opportunities for conflicts of interest. The Framers understood this which is why the put the emoluments clause in there in the first place. Becoming a leader of this country is an honor but it is also a duty. As part of that duty we should expect our leaders to conduct themselves with transparency and honesty. Not everyone can be or should be President and we should expect this or else we are just further debasing the office. If you don't mind me asking why are you so insistence that this topic should be let go?
The secret service stays are subject to public scrutiny. We don't know know because the agency in charge of oversight has slacked off. Regardless that's a separate issue. We know they stay at his places As far as settlements, you're right they are public record. Things you need to know you know
So in other words you're saying that we should wait on judicial action instead of expecting or requiring our leaders to be held to a higher standard is essentially what you're saying. And you're right rules shouldn't hing on politics. We should be expecting this of all of our elected officials no matter the party.
I'm saying there is no secret and there is an agency in charge of this. Regardless its innuendo. This isn't a rhetorical question. I don't have an answer but why hasn't the mainstream media picked up the secret service story? Secondly I don't know Trump but I can promise you he didn't run for president so the secret service can stay at his resort when he vacations. That's basically how ridiculous it sounds
No. If they do run they should be putting their business in a bind trust, releasing their tax returns and allow for pit bulls like Warren to go hard after their record. Trump did none of those things and nobody put him in his place on the right and that’s why nobody trusts him as a leader to do anything in America’s interest.
This seems to suggest that the republican supreme court will offer trump a "get out of jail free" card for virtually every judicial challenge he faces. The "political question doctrine" allows courts to avoid any case where "some questions, in their nature, are fundamentally political, and not legal, and if a question is fundamentally political". The congress has abandoned holding trump (and future president's?) accountable... and now it appears the USSC is as well. Unless, of course, the future president is a Democrat.
The mainstream media did report on the Secret Service story. It's just gotten buried under all the other stuff that is coming out daily. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/secret...penses-for-trump-stay-at-his-scotland-resort/ This story is from last month. Trump, didn't plan on running to fleece the Secret Service but from many many sources he didn't expect to win. Once he's won though he's done several things to line his pockets. This is why we need more transparency to hold him accountable. This isn't a fishing expedition just to embarrass him. We already know for a fact that he has committed several cases of fraud. We have good evidence that he is violating the emoluments clause on an almost weekly basis. Again my argument is that we should expect our leaders to be held to a high standard of ethics and transparency rather than wait for the judiciary to step in.
While the USSC might give him a pass but the states shouldn't if they have any belief in Federalism as they claim to. Something that "Conservatives" seem to forget when it goes against an issue that they like.
