This really is a nightmare. Trump thumps the Democratic Governors who need federal assistance (although Republican Governors need the same from him) and only deigns to help Democrats when he forces them to kiss his ring. He knows the Governors have to dampen down the criticism he deserves or risk his cold shoulder. Then he shows recordings of Democratic Governors saying nice things about him. This was all predicted (it seemed obvious), but as it plays out in real time, it nevertheless is painful to behold. People are very sick and scared. Some are dying. The rest are left in a sort of limbo. And Admiral Ego still has the support of his base? He obviously doesn't give a s*** about anyone. As long as he gets reelected. I have to avoid talking politics with my dad about this clown?
Does anyone else find that its suspect that within a week of the report coming out that something like communities of color were something like 2/3 more likely to get and die from Covid 19, that all the sudden this right wing onslaught of "open the country" organized messaging came roaring out? I'm not saying its even an organized conspiracy necessarily, but I noticed a DRAMATIC change on the right almost right away after that report came out. Even if that is just sort of a subconscious lever that was pulled, its still the embodiment of pure evil. If we find out that there were right wing billionaires who have organized this response, and given directives to the right wing hate media, I think they should be put in jail when this is all over with.
Yeah we know that these right wing billionaire funded groups are funding these protests like they did with the Tea Party, but what I'm most curious about is the relation between the data showing communities of color being affected being a major driver in the desire to take action to politicize. Nobody wants to come out and say it but it's so obvious that the Death Cult sees opportunity in disaster here. "You're saying that there's an opportunity to kill off nothing but old people who suck up social security, black people who vote democrats, and other minorities in poorer neighborhoods.... sign me up!!"
