    They banned it because they cannot censor it. Chinese people live under authoritarian rule and the rulers are quick to ban anything that lets their people freely communicate.

    Would they ban the game if they let you KILL THE ANIMALS TO SELL AT A WET MARKET?

    China has been known to ban popular games and then exact replicas made in china are released and are not banned & become very popular.
