Awaiting a paper check. I saw there was an online portal where you can put in your bank account information to get your money faster. Hopefully, no one in the hacker community saw that news article. I'm fine waiting. Really, it's bad policy to be sending me money. They should have been more surgical about delivering money to the people that are actually impacted.
got it this morning. bout to get 6,800 Jack in the Box tacos. agreed. forward it to me and I will distribute the amount appropriately.
Just checked, got $2,386.95. Seems off as I have a spouse and three kids. Asking my accountant since he's the guy who works the magic and brings my 'income' lower. Edit: It might be my income level after all. -shrug- I guess I am happy to get anything.
i just checked my bank account and it got deposited monday. however, im still working full-time and getting paid the same as i have been. the pandemic is not affecting my finances at all so im fortunate that i dont need this check. i know it would have opened up a whole other can o' worms, but i wish they would have just sent this money out to people who needed it instead of everyone. i have a bunch of friends who are out of work right now and im thinking of how i can get them this money. i might just buy 12 gift cards for $100 next time i go to HEB and distribute to those i know who are in need.
Just heard back from my accountant: "Hey...congratulations! Any money is better than nothing. I am not aware of how they worked the variables in your case, but as soon as I get an inkling of it, I will contact you. " So no love there.
I assume you are married filing jointly. The cutoff amount for $0 is $198,000 AGI. If you have filed 2019 taxes it uses that AGI, otherwise they use 2018. My guess assuming you filed married and your 3 kids are under 17 is that your AGI was between $180,250 and $180,750.
I tried checking the IRS site for fun, as a few friends told me I'd be able to get the $500 per kid, even if you're scoped out from an income perspective. This is what the IRS website tells me, " According to information that we have on file, we cannot determine your eligibility for a payment at this time."
That's a great idea. Mine's going to the local food pantry. They got 500 lbs of beef from us last week.
I don't think it is 100% working yet. I checked on a person that already got their check and it gave the same response.
I've heard this, but also tried putting my info into various "stimulus calc" sites (turbotax, etc) and they said no. I'll just keep checking though, will be a good surprise if I get something.
