This ones not necessarily Covid related but John Prine wrote it and one of Bonnie Raitt's signature songs. Sounds funny when John Prine sings about being and "old woman". It showcases his songwriting with "full production" behind it, more than just him and his guitar.

Yeah, he works really well with those young guys. They challenge him to push it.

Wow! That was great. Whoever recorded it did a terrific job. I wish that had been possible back in the day. I was lucky to see Neil play with Buffalo Springfield supporting the Beach Boys, with Strawberry Alarm Clock, at the Coliseum in April of 1968. He had quit the band in late May of '67 and didn't return until months later. That was a long tour!

    For John Prine:

A tremendous version of Lake Marie from the same set, and something else:

I saw Neil Young several times but the best show I saw was at the Cow Palace in San Francisco with Crazy Horse on the Weld Tour. The Bodeans were the first act and then Sonic Youth with Neil Young and Crazy Horse. Sonic Youth was in their prime and they were outstanding. A lot of Gen-X people just came for Sonic Youth but Neil Young and Crazy Horse were incredible.

For John Prine. I've been listening to this song a lot. It's a very poignant song with so many elderly people dying or living isolated from friends and family. Amazing he wrote it when he was only 22. Brandi Carlile did a great tribute for John Prine on Colbert this week.
