DELRAY BEACH, Fla., March 25, 2020 -- Former Houston Rockets owner Leslie Alexander is donating $1.5 million to 6 organizations in the Houston area in response to urgent community needs arising from the COVID-19 public health crisis. Donations will be made through the Leslie L. Alexander Foundation and add to the $14 million in prior donations that Mr. Alexander made in recent years to support the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund and other organizations in the Houston area.

Agencies that will receive donations are on the front lines of improving access to health services, food, and animal care, and include the following:

    Animal Justice League
Be A Resource for CPS Kids
    Child Advocates
    Citizens for Animal Protection
    Houston Hospice
    Kids Meals

"This recent round of donations aligns with the Foundation's commitment to help people of all ages, as well as animals, to achieve better health and wellbeing and improve their quality of life", stated Mr. Alexander. "We are pleased to be in a position to support the great organizations that continue to provide essential care and services to those who need it most, especially during this current crisis, and hope that other foundations and groups will follow suit."

I don’t care if Alexander kept the trophies... he brought two titles to the city and wasn’t an embarrassment. Alexander donates 1.5 million to Houston.... TF tells 40,000 workers to go **** themselves.

Tilman is filing for nonprofit status right now.

Probably the interest that Les made off of Tilman after loaning him money to buy the Rockets from him. Now Les will get a tax write off from the earnings. Pure financial brilliance.

I miss Les. He left right before the 65 win CP3 team but I still give him credit for that season.

Very generous of Les. He sets a good example in this department for our current owner. Perhaps some other departments, as well.

You mean he sold when he purposely jacked up the value of the team by signing CP3

He doesn't miss you. He misses all the China money but I guess he figured once Yao was gone it was all down hill

he did something very nice and selfless, unlike the POS that owns this team who screws over his workers. At least give him his due here, mostly because life >>>>basketball
