Survive means nothing if u dont win. With that mindset, no wonder we are so mediocre. Oh we have a sht coach but dont worry we will survive. Oh we lost star players for jack sht, we will survive. At this rate we will truly be the browns.
The point is....Teams and players do what is best for them. There is no loyalty in Sports. There are NUMEROUS examples of this. patriots-release-kicker-stephen-gostkowski-14-seasons No loyalty.
I finally understand why so many posters are harsh on you. I thought they were over doing it before but damn.
Ya and I wouldn't have an issue with trading Hop when he's 35 and well past his prime and looking for a new contract. At the very ****ing least get a god damn first rounder for a generational wideout who is only 27 years old.
So your latest example is a 14 year veteran who was loyal to the team and vice versa for longer than the vast majority of players even play in the league AND was injured most of 2019.
Is Watson... going to the Patriots? https://www.masslive.com/patriots/2...vorite-to-be-new-england-starter-in-2021.html
Watson could refuse to get an extension... and leave for nothing. You don't save money for a franchise player by getting rid of his complementary piece. BoB will think he is lucky to get a conditional 3rd rounder for him.
You think I give a damn? LOL. Most of these MFs are ****ing Clueless on sports, especially the Business of sports.
most recently they hit the odds right with Tampa Bay and Brady. hopefully they get this one also about a year from now
Watson is going into year 4. Texans have control this year and they will exercise his 5th years option this summer. So that is 2 years. They can franchise him 2 years that are not punitive. So that is 4 years. Actually, it could be five, but it becomes really expensive. So, it is in Watson's best interest to take the FAT contract he will get offered.
All this Patriots talk. You're just get suckered into this random dudes article. That's what he wants.
Unless he gets into a personal war with Obrien. Then he's outta here for a Frank Gore and 4th round pick.
You keep saying this. The Texans have proven that "control" doesn't matter. It's whether or not you kowtow to ownership and/or management.
