This is actually fewer deaths than the day before, representing a reduction in the rate of growth. The people telling you that deaths in the USA will hit 200,000 should be censured for inciting hysteria. The scare tactics need to stop. They reset the clock every day. 20 is how many have died today since they reset the clock last night. If you click on the USA link and scroll down you'll see a graph that has the daily totals. 49 people died yesterday which is a drop from the day before which was 57 so while your point is still valid for today, you're numbers are off. And you can't make a direct correlate between deaths and the virus growth rate. Experience over time will cause us to handle cases better. Just ask yourself what kind of chaos occurs IF the food supply chain breaks down .... You look at how people reacted to the growing threat Friday last week - grocery store shelves were barren. No bread , eggs , flour , sugar , dry beans & meat shelves empty , mostly due to the panic. How do those same people react when the shelves are bare and they have run out staples ? I ventured out to the grocery store yesterday .... shelves still pretty bare tho not as bad as last Friday. Many businesses are shut down - people not working , supply side not meeting demand and the longer this drags on , the worse it gets in that regard. I'm not buying a new weapon .... but if I didn't have an arsenal , I'd seriously consider it. For some people , everything is partisan ....
