Printing companies aren't closed here, it's just that customers are all pulling out.

I am sure that Germany will take measures for business with reduced earnings too. Its a social welfare country that takes good care of their citizens.
They will come, have faith and keep strong!

Looks like untested cases starting to show up in the surveillance data.

Influenza-like illnesses are higher for this date this year than previous years. Here's 2018 followed by 2020.

The previous 10 years are not all that dramatic a shift, but most are and every one is noticeable. The closest to 2020 was last year when we had a cool/cold and wet spring across much of the US thanks to an erratic jet stream.

As a stand alone, you can't draw much from this, but within the context of a pandemic, it's another data point that suggests there are many more undiagnosed cases out there.

Oh, and welcome to the rest of the world Texas. About damn time.

Assuming patients live more than 10 days? The Covid-19 kills on average in 8 days.
Patients who took hydroxychloroqinue have shown improvement from the first days of hospitalisation.
The majority were virus free in nasal swabs in day 6 and only two took more time and were virus free in day 8.

I rather take my chances with hydroxychloroqinue than covid-19 if I am old and in hospital.

Of course it's not a magical cure. It didn't work on everyone. But it worked on the majority.

There will be far bigger clinical trials in Spain and Italy now so we will have much more data.

True, it coincides with a very strong influenza season.

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure that's the worst thing in the world. It could potentially mean this thing isn't as contagious or as deadly as we fear. It might already be widespread and the case increases are just from testing and people going to the doctors now for their "flu". That could mean that it's not exponentially increasing in reality.

    That is dangerous thinking.

Safer to say it is more contagious than it is deadly but still deadly though.

France: 108 new deaths. So far 6% of the victims is under 60.
All hospitals are out of masks.

Zara will start making masks in its factories and soon also medical gowns with special fabric.
Nivea too is starting producing only sanitizer.

I understand their concern. They are not only worried that their product could produce bad reactions, depending on how it's used, who uses it, and for how long, since it hasn't been properly tested. They are also worried about law suits, as they should be. Is the government saying they will pay any claims?

Looking at the graph, it is interesting that 2019-2020 was a record "flu" year starting all the way in late November 2019. I personally feel COVID19 possibly could have been around longer than we have documented (both in the US, China, and everywhere) because it is so easy to misdiagnose someone with the flu and on the surface in isolated cases, it doesn't scream "WE HAVE A NEW CORONAVIRUS!". It's highly unlikely but hopefully they can find patient zero to figure out how and when this all started.

That being said, I have no doubt that some people were being misdiagnosed with the flu in January-March.

I’m writing to y’all from Hennepin County Medical Center. Ground Zero for fighting this in Minnesota’s I had to take my aunt in for an unrelated issue. She lives in an assisted living facility and I wiped down the passenger side of my car and masked up to take her. She wants to go grocery shopping after. I’m Thinking of sending her back and shopping for her.
