YESSIR. need ya back, Mr Harden. f all them haters, even the fakers here in CF. just come back and DOMINATE.
This game and 2015 WCF Games 1 and 2 are probably his best overall games of all time. All against the Dubs.
sure... cold blooded is different from coldest. which is why people still say heating up. you can be heating up, which means you're hitting, or on fire, which means you're hitting. or you can be cold blooded, which means almost cruel, ice in your veins. coldest actually meaning hottest is more of a new thing
Rivers was saying yesterday on the IG live that in this system he doesn’t really get a chance to showcase his full skill set. He has been adjusting to playing offball as a catch and shooter which took him a long time. He knows our philosophy does allow midrange but he really wants to showcase it. Honestly if Russ mixes it in, I feel like we should run a few iso plays for rivers. Bc our bench is awful when harden and Russ can’t create
Same, apparently. Expected a totally different meaning. But fire / hot also mean best, too. Don't forget that. It's tough to be 30 with today's hip kids.
I'd like to piggyback off your post and do a top 10 Harden game list (sorted by Game Score, B-Ref's stat) 10. 03/22/2019 - vs San Antonio Spurs (61/7/1 with 3 steals) James Harden goes off for 61 points (9 threes!) against the rival Spurs. He had 27 points alone in the first quarter, and with his team down 100-94 with 4 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Harden went on a personal 13-2 run, making three straight threes and two tough jumpers to take control of the game back. At the time, it was the most points ever scored against a Popovich-led team! 9. 12/13/2019 - @ Orlando Magic (54/4/7 with 2 steals and 3 blocks) Harden leads a rout against the Magic, tying a team record of 10 threes! He went 10 of 15 from beyond the arc, and going 19 of 31 for the whole game. He was so downright magical that the opposing crowd even gave him some love when he checked out of the game! 8. 10/30/19 - @ Washington Wizards (59/3/9 with 1 steal) In a game where defense was optional, Harden pulled out all the tricks en route to 59 points - he was 18 of 32 from the field, 6 of 14 from 3-point range, and made 17 of 18 free throws. He also had nine assists in 37 minutes. He had 38 points just in the second half, with 21 coming in the 3rd and 17 in the 4th. 7. 01/27/17 - @ Philadelphia 76ers (51/13/13 with 2 steals and 1 block) Harden was spectacular, dropping a 50+ point triple double against Embiid and the Sixers. With this game, he became the first player in league history with multiple 50 point triple doubles in a season! He was 16 of 28 from the field, including 6 of 11 from the three point line, while making 13 of 14 free throws. He scored 19 alone in the third quarter! 6. 01/23/19 - @ New York Knicks (61/15/4 with 5 steals) In the midst of his sensational scoring run during the '19 season and with Chris Paul out, James Harden raced past Wilt Chamberlain with his 21st consecutive 30 point game! He not only scored a career high 61 but he tied Kobe Bryant's record for most points scored at Madison Square Garden. At the time, it was Harden's fifth 50 point game of the season. 5. 12/31/19 - vs New York Knicks (53/16/17) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbJP43J6QHU James Harden must really have had a problem with JD & The Straight Shot . As quoted by Brandon Jennings, James Harden put up "NBA 2K" numbers in a New Year's Eve performance to remember. At the time of this game, Harden became the first player in NBA history to have at least 50 points, 15 assists and 15 rebounds in a single game,He also tied Wilt Chamberlain for most points in a triple-double, set career highs for points and 3-pointers with nine and matched his career best for assists. 4. 11/05/17 - vs Utah Jazz (56/2/13 with 2 steals) https://youtu.be/Aq9H1_3Q3Gw?t=20 In what was to be a preview of the Western Conference Semifinals, and a rekindling of a rivalry, Harden dropped a then-career high 56 points (one shy of Calvin Murphy's franchise record high of 57 at the time) in a rout of Utah. Harden had 13 assists and shot a sizzling 76 percent from the floor, hitting 19 of 25 shots after missing his last three attempts. The MVP runner-up was a perfect 7 for 7 from beyond the arc until he missed a step-back 3-pointer midway through the fourth quarter as the shot clock was about to expire. 3. 02/28/19 - vs Miami Heat (58/7/10 with 4 steals and 1 block) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJXhx7QocWY The Rockets were down 21 points in the third quarter before Harden heated up and led a Houston comeback against Miami, leading the way with 58 points, which at the time of this game was the highest points ever scored against the Heat! Harden made 8 of 18 3-pointers and was 16 of 32 overall from the field and 18 of 18 on free throws. 2. 11/30/19 - vs Atlanta Hawks (60/3/8 with 3 steals and 1 block) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WeQ9RNc-ZM James Harden had no mercy, dropping a season-high 60 points in only 31 minutes. He sat the entire fourth quarter after the epic performance, with his team up 127-73 at the end of the third. It was Harden's fourth career 60-point game, tying him with Michael Jordan for third most in NBA history, trailing only Kobe Bryant (six) and Wilt Chamberlain (32). Harden is the only active player who has scored 60 points more than once. This game is also infamous for the Hawk commentators complaining about Harden 'stat padding'. 1. 01/30/18 - vs Orlando Magic (60/10/11 with 4 steals and 1 block) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4Nns5OLOuM In what can be considered Harden's best game, it was only fitting it was in a situation where he had to carry an injured and depleted squad to the victory. With Chris Paul and Trevor Ariza out, and Eric Gordon limited to only ten minutes, Harden showed why he would be the MVP of this season, becoming the first player in NBA history to score 60 points as part of a triple double. The Beard dropped 18 points in the fourth, and after eclipsing Calvin Murphy's franchise record 57 points, cameras showed the Hall of Famer giving Harden a standing ovation. Greatness recognizing greatness!
Well even the best get worn out sometimes. He needs to change his diet or do whatever he did that last season. Not everybody can sustain that regiment is the problem.
He had better games then that this season. He had that 50 odd game in Cleveland where he dragged us back from a huge deficit by himself In The second half. Go watch the Orlando game where he was pulling up on four guys and draining threes in transition. The issue in his late season slump was he was freaking injured .
