Yes, but when you cough or sneeze what comes out is moist and hot! So clearly moisture isn't that bad for the virus
The humidity stops it from expanding out in a big cloud and also makes it fall to the ground much faster.
This is not a freaking political game.. This is people lives at stake and if the GOP is playing this game as you think... Then I hope they all get voted out.. Sign the freaking bill and if this thing is still out of control in the next couple of weeks.. Then either amend the bill or create a new one, but don't play freaking games... T_Man
yes as KingCheetah said and also the aerosols stay in the air for longer with aircondition. Just keep your distance from people. It is extremely difficult to get infected this way, with aerosols that are being in the air for tens of minutes. It is more likely to get infected by touching something and touch your face without washing your hands or by using a shared bathroom. If you are in an office or a closed space open the window, to get fresh air, this will help clear the atmosphere of such aerosols. *I am not a doctor or a virologist or a biologist. Not even an optician with a PhD.
This is the politics forum so we have to examine the politics of it, and yes, there's no question that both sides are going to play political games here to maximize their electoral odds in November. I wish that wasn't the case, but we all know it is.
I wish people would quit saying heat and humidity will stop the virus. There are many cases in Thailand and Singapore. Two places that are not known for cool dry weather.
The humidity will keep it alive longer on a surface. The humidity acts like giant bubbles that either slow it down or captures it. Thus having more mass, it wont travel as far and fall to a solid surface faster. Humidity doesnt kill it.
Not stop but slow down -- it also depends on whatever strain we're dealing with -- MERS does really well in hot dry air for instance. It also depends on whether it falls to the ground or not.
Thanks a Fox News thanks Rush. Great jobs. Seriously they need to sued. People lives could be at risked
Doable? So all you need is to build extra hospitals in 7 days and lock down whole sections of the country. Totally doable
Sorry, but people who still keep traveling are a big part of the problem. Social distancing yourself in international customs and screening is damn near possible. As long as thousands keep flowing in and out of the airports it won't contain itself. Not everyone will show symptoms in screenings, and I'm sure there are a lot who would not self quarantine. The Europeans are learning the hard way, and the same will happen here, even with domestic travel. Travel will continue until the situation is out of control. The worst part is that there will be idiots, with reckless behavior like Rudy Gobert spreading their germs around.
I’m not sure it breaks down by ideology. People have different mindsets on some fundamental things that transcend politics.
Maybe they wouldn't have tried to buy exclusive covid-19 testing rights from Germany. Maybe they wouldn't have acknowledged the virus will just "go away" Maybe they wouldn't have even insinuated that the virus was a liberal hoax. Maybe Trump is just a man-child with no concept or concern with anyone other than himself. Maybe Trump wouldn't give a **** if the markets weren't tanking and his reelection is being affected. Maybe the GOP and those that support them will learn one day...maybe not.
