Official NBA stance, though I expect it to change, is that the season will pick up where it left off. More likely we go straight to playoffs or even face the season being axed.

 

They are going to lock us all in to renew at their incredibly increased pricing by only allowing STH to apply these lost games to our STH account. I'm nearly certain of it.

 

A) tilman can suck a fat one
B) Itll probably just roll into next seasons fees.

 

I can tell you that there are some owners and players that want to play 82 games to get every possible penny, even if it means pushing the Finals back well into what would have been the off season.

For many owners and players this is about maximizing every single potential revenue at any cost.

So if there is a light at the end of the tunnel in 2-3 weeks, expect them to play.

I don’t know other than yes it was discussed and there were financial concerns from some owners. The owners are to reconvene in less than a month but they are talking amongst themselves. No idea what the eventual plan will be but a lot of things being discussed.

It is my speculation but I would not be surprised if we see even less emphasis in the league for gate income long term. Events like the CV can change how the public views large gatherings long term. Especially if we have any future scares.

 

spanish flu a hundred years ago lasted 35 months, no reason to believe this cycle would be much shorter. maybe saint laurent and gucci etc will start manufacturing designer masks and everyone will return to the arenas confidently

 

I don't think this coronavirus crisis is going to be over and the NBA season will resume in just a couple of months.
