The news of Cleveland Clinic developing testing was wrong.

The rumor is likely due to this announcements that they bought some equipment to test their staff in-house.

I am being told that 'Wuhan Virus' is now a racist term, can we switch the thread title to THD? Tom Hanks Disease.

According to the latest number, Qatar has had 262 confirmed cases and Philippines has 52. Philippines has just quarantined its capital city. My take from experts is that the virus is likely less active and infectious in hot weather but it might not completely die out. Previous study has shown that the virus would lose its infectivity after 30 minutes in 56℃ environment.

Plus Australia is in autumn right now, not summer. Sydney has had mildly warm but not hot weather over the last 10 or so days. Mid 70's for highs.

The virus is deactivated under direct UV light and survives for 3 days in 37C in most surfaces.
As you said it can slow down the infection but it doesn't stop it.

The fact that countries in the southern hemisphere or that have hot weather dont have many reported cases/deaths are because in most of tem the mean age of the population is basically of teenage years or in their 20s, and vast under reporting.

    What about very high altitudes?

Tibet, Nepal, Bolivia.......less oxygen for hosts.

That is not always the case. We still don't know why we have a flu season.
I have run the gambit with this, but the fact is virus infects at a rapid rate and the cancellations make it doubly scary.
Hopefully we take the approach china has to get control of this and let us get back to work.

I don't get the water buying. Buy a couple of Britas and filters. I paid like $50 for 2 digital Britas and 12 filters. Plus my fridge as most due has a filter for water.

Tomorrow I will be buying meats though from the butcher. Not because of this ****, because my pool is 6 degrees from being ready to finally jump in. I heard we might get to work from home late today. I'll be going back with a swuut tan.

Just because Derozan's stats plummet to the bottom in the playoffs it doesnt mean Doncic's stats will plummet too in his first playoffs.

Doncic is much better at his craft than Derozan ever was.

As you see from here, Nepal and Bolivia have 1 and 3 cases respectively. Tibet had 1 imported case from Hubei that has recovered. These could be caused by various factors such as limited testing, lower population density, less traffic, etc. It is unclear whether the high altitude is the deciding factor here.
