Tilman Fertitta to CNBC this morning: “There’s no reason to panic even if 100,000 people have it, ok? Just don’t give it to other people. You’re not going to die from this.” Is Tilman a genius? Stating the obvious? Worried about the $$$? Don't answer, JUST SHUT UP AND LISTEN!
Damn, I hope somebody took a screenshot of that tweet cause b****ass tilman just took it down. His own little Hong Kong **** up eh...? Not verbatim - "Theres no need to worry, even if theres another 10,000 people who get, just dont pass it along to everyone else. Youre not going to die from this"
You heard it here 1st from the broke b**** himself, don't panic, you not going to die, eat at Landry's.
he said that you’re not gonna die from this unless you’re a sickly person, and people should practice good habits to not spread the infection...basically the same thing many other people have been saying Am I supposed to be outraged about this or something?
Sorry the tweet was deleted for some reason... but his response was: “There’s no reason to panic even if 100,000 people have it, ok? Just don’t give it to other people. You’re not going to die from this.”
the tweet didn't quote entirely what he was saying. that's the problem with dissected words. it doesn't exactly present what he was saying and makes it sound way worse than what he was actually saying. hardly anything to get worked up about, if you listen to the whole thing. this was also done a week ago
Agreed. When I saw the response on my twitter feed, I mistakenly assumed that the tweet was verbatim. The video posted by ThatBoyNick presented a much fairer take.
People are taking this to the extreme. Most people don’t even remember much about the H1N1 “swine flu” in 2009, but 60 million Americans got it over the course of 9 months and 17,000 Americans died over those 9 months. Nearly 2,000 children died and 13,000 deaths were people under the age of 65. We didn’t even go to the extremes with that virus as we are doing now.
He's right. People who are not elderly or in bad health are not dying from this. Just like the flu... The panic is insane. Pure insanity.
Death rate and hospitalization rate makes a huge difference. You just quoted a .0003 death rate in America. Let's see what the death rate ends of being for this one.
