I don't think Cleburne endorsement meant that much in the overall, yes it was tremendously helpful but I think it was a matter of about 5 points if I had to put a number on it, I also think Cleburne endorsement was based on his personal relationship with him than anything to do with the "ESTABLISHMENT".

I just don't think people where waiting for Clyburn and had pretty much made up their mind IMO.

I also don't think giving an endorsement means all your support goes to that candidate, they would have already had a good opinion of Biden in the 1st place and I don't think their supporters where that loyal to vote because their candidate told them to.

Not arguing that Biden had a huge change of luck and that everything did not break right for him I just don't think the "establishment had much to do with it and I really blame Sanders not going after that block of voters and making it adversarial.

I do agree that a lot voted out of fear but I blame Sanders for a lot of that because he never reached out.

Clyburn's endorsement was 'The Mother of all dog whistle's', especially to the black community. They had been leaking over to increasingly support Bernie Sanders in the polls in South Carolina, until Clyburn stepped in.

Of course Biden has to beat Trump to be able to do anything for Clyburn, which is not highly likely, but if Biden did win, Clyburn would surely be owed a cabinet position, at a minimum.

So you think all black people respond to the same dog whistle?

This coming from the same person who thought Kamala would be the nominee because she was black and a female and would use the race card.

Why should anyone listen to you?

    Again not a dog whistle.

Example of a dog whistle: Calling the Coronavirus the "Chinese Virus"

The only person I see using absolutist terms like "all" or "none" here is you.

I did not predict she would win. Rather I observed that her path to success was dependent on her leveraging her identity politics credentials to the full, and that if she did that, she was at least as likely to win the nomination than any of the rest of this crowd.

But of course other than her famous moment in the first debate, when she took Joe Biden to his political knees by playing the race card in particularly viscious and nasty fashion, she largely failed to leverage those assets. I suspect that the powers that be talked to her after that event and pursuaded her to cool it. Further, she turned out to be kind of a giggling, unfocused and unserious type person in many people's eyes.

There were in fact not very many people who follow this kind of stuff closely who were not surprised by how poorly Kamala Harris performed in this contest.

Beyond that, if you do not realize that James Clyburn's endorsement was one of the most deveststingly powerful invocations of the race card, then you are analytically blind as a bat when it comes to these sorts of matters - and I really doubt anyone will be able to help you with that.
