ah man, I should know better. Moms is 84, so you know, good for her I guess. All that jazzercize paying off.
2000 ΙU for the first couple of days if you are deficient and don't have heart problems or kidney problems. You are taking it for years dailty so you shouldn't be deficient. The usual recommended doses of 400-1000 IU for vitamin D are actually not enough to fullfill most people's needs who are stayind indoors all day long, and since we may be in immediate risk of a respiratory infection it's not a bad idea to get a couple of high dose of vitamin d (again provided you don't have kidney or heart problems) to fill our reservoirs. Now if someone goes sunbathing in January or walks around outside wearing tshirt and shorts then there is no need.
BTW I am not a pathologist or endocrinologist so don't forget to ask for your doctor's advice and not put full trust to what someone says in the internet. I am only saying what I am doing myself and what I have told to my family to do. Just remember this is the start of spring. Vitamin D is stored in fat so the store in our body is the lowest precisely at this time of the year.
finally our government did something right and closed all schools all over the country. Now also gotta close down the churches. It looks like the EU has decided to come together and impose some paneuropaic measures like closing down the borders, schools, matches etc. Lets see. Very late but at least it is something. It can save some lives still.
That needs to be done BEFORE stuff hits the fan... wtf did japan do exactly and when, to keep their line so low in that grapH? I wouldn't mind seeing all our schools and churches shut down asap. Premature is prudent.
for your tracking numbers, here's a Tue/10am MT press conference fwiw: he laid out some measures to make sure hourly-wage workers can get financial relief if they are sick, to encourage them not to go to work.
As a culture, they are perfectly positioned for this. Japan is a notoriously clean country. People there are known for respecting personal space. They don't shake hands as a primary greeting. Etc. A lot of their cultural norms naturally intersect all the "people, please do this now" things the rest of the world is pushing.
This is silly. Japan isn't stupid - you can maybe hide something like this for a week or two. But you can't hide it for months and the decision won't be made until May at the earliest. They aren't going to fake their way into hosting an Olympics.
You dont need to cough handshake or even be near an infected person. Here is the latest epidimiological study results by the chinese. The virus can stay 30 minutes in the air. The virus can be transmitted up to 4.5 meters away. This is more than 4 times the recommended amount of social distance. The virus can survive 3 days at 37C on most surfaces. It can survive 5 days in human bodily fluids. So please tell me how the Japanese culture has avoided infection with so few tests? They don't breath ? They don't take the subway? The mother is siting 5 meters away from their children? Or maybe they walk around wearing hazmat suits?
It CAN do those things, but it is extremely minimally contagious through those means. 99/100 its going to be spread by droplets passed within a few minutes.
That is because most people around the world are closer to each other and the virus is already transmitted directly by touch before needing other means. But if supposedly the japanese culture means that noone touches noone , it STILL isn't impervious to transmitting and an outbreak. So simply the japanese numbers are fake.
