sounds like Mayor Pete and Klobuchar both will be at the Biden rally tonight in Dallas. Unified front.

Think he'll be gone in about week. My guess would be just after the March 10th elections.

Time to see if the moderate gang was right or not. Klobes and PButti ducked out for Biden, only man left standing in his way from an uncontested swing at Bernie is Bloomy... but Warren is pretty much a counter-balance for him in the "team moderate vs progressive" math.

My previous position was Amy/Pete dropping out would not overwhelmingly help Joe, that their votes would split more evenly across the candidates then predicted, let's see what happens super Tuesday.

They immediately took the plunge in endorsing Biden. Maybe that helps a lot but Pete and Amy don't have a "base" or movement that follows them around. They were just the " hey they seem nice" type of candidates. Not much loyalty there.

    These takes are weird.

Trump was a terrible debater. Clinton ran circles around him. In the GOP primaries he just made stuff up and got mocked on stage for not knowing anything about international relations.

    Huh?

Biden is every bit as lucid as Trump.

That shouldn't really be the standard though, as Trump is bat **** crazy.

I think Biden will do fine in a 1 vs 1 debate personally. I think the current format has made it a lot harder for him, but I'm just speculating.

Regardless, I'm ready for post "debate" politics. I think townhall formats are so much better.

I don't. I fear Biden would get brutally curb-stomped by Trump in a debate. Trump is a doofus but he's very agressive and sharp in debates, Joe used to be the same, not any more, he's a mess on the debate stages. I think the current format does Joe well, the less Joe speaks, the better.

Ya not sure how much or if debates really do anything, I'm more worried about Biden's mental state of mind as president and how his cognitive abilities would actually hold up while in office.

Yes. He clearly isn't prime Obama or even Buttigieg when it comes to speaking but he will do fine....... I would be curious to see he and Trump debate and see if it goes off the rails with bizarre threats of violence at one another and comments on their sexual prowess.

which is why a younger, competent VP like Klobuchar would help the ticket

That is close to being reportable to the FBI. Doing push-ups would cause a heart attack in Trump.

Ehh at worst they will just both look like fools. One of them is going to goad the other in a debate and it is going to be circling the drain after that.

My guess is that Trump will say something about Biden's good for nothing son and Biden will respond with a story about a guy named t-bone from the neighborhood that ran his mouth and got a Biden fist to the face....... Trump will them make a statement about the Ukraine and then Biden will challenge him to a push up contest to decide the election.
