They honestly do. They are putting the country's economy and even the death of citizens below their political ambitions. Just look at who is driving the hysteria in the media and even in this thread - it's obvious to see. They're so blinded by hatred that they're cheering for this. Sorry, it's true.

Liberals like you never learn. You believe the incredibly biased media. Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner (Mr I can't breathe!), Russian collusion, Ukraine quid pro quo, Kavanaugh accusations, Hillary is a shoe-in to win in 2016 - all total media garbage. The media is paid to get clicks and eyeballs. They know they can stir up feelings in liberal sheep to watch their programming if they sensationalize it and give the liberals what they want to hear....not to mention the average person who goes into the media profession is left-leaning. They're nothing more than an arm of the democratic party.

Get out of your echo chamber and challenge what you see - you'll be better for it, Aleks.

I peeked at who you were having an exchange with, @AleksandarN. I'm so glad that I have that lunatic extremist troll on ignore. It makes my experience here much more pleasant than it would be otherwise. He's working hard to make you angry and he simply isn't worth the aggravation, in my humble opinion. He spits out vile crap, very deliberately, to get a rise out of people, and if he succeeds, it makes his day. Food for thought.

Deckard never had any tolerance for opposing view points. He simply retreats back to his echo chamber to find comfort. A lazy thinker.

Lol another liberal who can’t defend himself so he tries to resort to humor since it’s all he’s got.

Bless your heart. I’d recommend you educate yourself and expand your social circle and read a diverse set of media. You’d be better for it.

    cheers

No they don't. While there may be some outlying liberal or conservative or independent or whoever may feel that way, there is no host of liberals that want anyone to sure from this virus. DJT Jr. was an idiot for saying liberals want millions to die. Don't join him in idiocy.

Strange that they released the patient while there was a pending test result....

The non-response from Fed gov to local officials is NOT a good sign. They need to be working closely together.

    https://www.click2houston.com/news/...being-released-from-isolation-in-san-antonio/

An individual who was released from isolation on Saturday is being retested for the coronavirus at a local health facility, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Officials say the individual met the criteria for release after testing negative for the virus twice. Both of the tests were administered more than 24 hours apart.

However, the patient later returned to isolation after a pending lab test came up positive for the virus that causes COVID-19, according to the CDC.

The patient did have contact with others while outside of isolation, and health officials are working to trace others that may have been exposed.

Metro Health is working to track where the patient went, who they interacted with, the time frames they spent outside of the quarantined facility and who may have been exposed, officials say.

    ....

Judge Nelson Wolff also issued a statement, saying the city is in need of additional resources and protocols going forward.

“This has been our biggest concern and now we will experience the consequences of no action. Time and time again, I have raised issues concerning evacuees, inappropriate accommodations, the risk of exposure during transporting and the need for additional monitoring and extended quarantine periods. I issued a letter on February 18th relating our concerns and then a joint letter with the Mayor on February 24th. To date, no response or even acknowledgement of our concerns has been made,” said Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff.

Judge Wolff added, “Our federal representatives, the CDC, and the US Department of Defense cannot and should not ignore us now. We are in dire need of additional resources and protocols immediately to include longer quarantine periods and the opening of appropriate facilities such as the Alabama facility or the San Antonio Military Medical Center. Please do not delay any longer and risk local transmission.”

This excerpt (as well as the other one posted here about cdc developing a test that ended up being faulty) is highly concerning. It seems like feds are not at all concerned and are not instituting any cases of emergency (like they did with the building of the wall because illegal families from the south were trying to kills us).

I'm confused about with the whole "do not panic" approach. What is exactly so bad about "panic" and being proactive about this issue? Is government afraid about run on hospitals/provisions/what? The whole thing about the desease spreading being unavoidable - what does that actually mean? Does that mean government has no way to slow its spread down? Is this about protecting economy? What does "do not panic" message do in practical terms? Does it maybe mean that feds don't trust the Chinese/WHO assessment and that they want to first ensure that the virus is capable of a pandemic (highly contagious virus with 50%+ contraction) with 2% death rate? Wouldn't it be actually beneficial for economy to be proactive about protecting population?

@bigtexxx, any chance you have a good grasp on this given how you are throwing around accusations of ignorance and echo chambers here for some reason. Please enlighten me/us on what's going on. You are not afraid of dying - I get that. But what if I am? Why should I not panic?

Wait a minute. Are you saying that he is an idiot that has the ability to attract even bigger idiots to follow him? Is that what you are saying?
