Good chances that it has been spreading for weeks. We have had very limited and restricted testing and is still somewhat limited.
A post I found about exercise and immune systems... moderate is the best way to boost your immune system... heavy training however makes you weaker soooooooo be careful. These NBA players for example may be at a high risk of getting COVID if they are pushing themselves.. So maybe just light jog a bit and shoot the ball on the court some and you're good. Keep your immune system up CFs! https://www.mysportscience.com/sing...-Behavioural-lifestyle-and-medical-strategies
Looks like this one is coming fast and hard. This is the ultimate nightmare for the Trump administration and what we have been warning about while others empower his malign repugnance. Pandemic prevention is something that requires: International cooperation and credibility (the opposite of Trumpism) Faith in biology, science and truth (the opposite of Trumpism) Dedicated public servants and administration (the opposite of Trumpism) Clear, calm communication (the opposite of Trumpism) Willingness to sacrifice for the public good (the literal opposite of Trumpisms existence.) You couldn't design a challenge that he is less equipped to cope with. Other than maybe reading a book. But, you know, I'm really pulling for him! Don Jr too!
Why didn’t the US have surveillance tests while other countries did? It insisted on creating its own test instead of using the one WHO has already developed. https://www.propublica.org/article/cdc-coronavirus-covid-19-test As the highly infectious coronavirus jumped from China to country after country in January and February, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lost valuable weeks that could have been used to track its possible spread in the United States because it insisted upon devising its own test. The federal agency shunned the World Health Organization test guidelines used by other countries and set out to create a more complicated test of its own that could identify a range of similar viruses. But when it was sent to labs across the country in the first week of February, it didn’t work as expected. The CDC test correctly identified COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus. But in all but a handful of state labs, it falsely flagged the presence of the other viruses in harmless samples.
SamFisher is about to climax! The coronavirus bringing down the economy could be the democrats' only chance to defeat Trump! Onwards with the panic and hysteria!
I just read an article saying that Italy, South Korea, and Japan have higher numbers because they've been testing like crazy, which leads to more positives. If you were to do massive testing in all the affected countries, the numbers would probably shoot up. The good news about this is that deaths pretty much always get counted...you don't miss coronovirus deaths. You do, however, miss lots of people with mild or no symptoms. Its also why the number of "serious" cases seems high...those get caught when others don't. In H1N1 in 2009, it was thought the death rate was ~2-3% in the first couple months. Afterwards, we find out that a lot more people had it than originally thought and H1N1 stats came more in line with regular flu. Now its just another flu in the rotation. It is entirely possible that this just becomes the 5th coronovirus in cold rotation, and even if it has a chance to be more severe, we'll be stuck with it forever unless/until we get vaccination for it.
That’s a good way of seeing it and absolutely a possibility. its why we need data. One teen with no symptoms was tested and it came back positive.
Brian Leiter: "It seems clear the coronavirus pandemic is going to trigger a recession in the U.S. and probably globally, barring a sudden change in the course of its spread. As we know from Achen and Bartels, voters often hold incumbents responsible for bad events, especially if there is any narrative supporting such responsibility (and sometimes even when there isn't). All this bodes ill for Trump, which is maybe the only good news in this impending disaster." https://leiterreports.typepad.com/blog/2020/02/the-us-election-and-the-coronavirus.html
I really hope you’re right. But it really DID kill whole families in China. Might be a weird genetic sensitivity of some kind to this critter.
So, you're saying Wall Street billionaires and institutional investors are prone to panic and hysteria hoaxes.
Meanwhile, trump is tweeting about Democratic candidates, multiple retweets of his own poll results, and pro-trump interviews on fox news.
Another person dying from this virus is supposed to be news? Unless you're old and frail with underlying conditions, the chance of dying is minuscule. Less than 1%. The hysteria around this virus is truly absurd. Do we share breaking news every time somebody dies of cancer (there's no cure!)? Of course the liberals are completely politically motivated in this. They honestly want coronavirus deaths and an economic recession, if it means that Trump will get blamed and then lose the election.
It's only less than 1% for people under 50.... how old are you Texx? I don't know about you, but I have family members who have cancer, diabetes, who are 70+, and I kinda don't want them to die a painful and premature death, alone in quarantine. Oh and claiming liberals want death, makes you sound like a huge POS.
So the Dems are causing the Stock Market crash, and the Dems created the phenomenon of When It Bleeds, It Leads news stories. Maybe you should get that Panic and Hysteria checked out. The hoaxes might be getting the better of you. Or at least, go to a tanning salon, so your perplexion keeps its color. [misspelling intended]
