Pete Buttigieg to Quit Democratic Presidential Race

Curious if he got offered a position by Biden or Bloomy.

I think it shows how far this country has come that his sexual orientation was pretty much a complete nonfactor his entire campaign start to finish.

I had my doubts about Buttigieg early in as I thought his lack of experience was going to be a real issue but he ran a good campaign and one of the most disciplined campaigns. His victory in Iowa was a testament to his organizational abilities. I don’t think we’ve heard the last of him.

How can you say his sexual orientation was a non-factor?

That's just how it felt to me. His campaign seemed way more centrist, midwestern, youthful focused then gay focused.

Legit I think how young he is / looks got more attention then him being gay, which says a lot to me (in a good way), but that's just my perception.

I think it was a non factor in media coverage really but not in terms of his ability to build a voting coalition.

I feel you. But see how much of an issue it would be if he were vying for the Republican nomination.

Did Pete use the Giannis line in his concession speech

“I was just trying to do my job, which is to win the game and go back home to my family.”

That I disagree with. Pete slowed Bernie down, there as well as in New Hampshire, which is a major plus as far as I'm concerned.

I feel for you, I really do. Bright side for Pete is I bet there was a deal brokered with Biden for a cabinet position. Some time in the national spotlight will improve his profile tremendously.

I think we can both agree this probably won’t be the only time he runs for President. Next time will likely be a much different story.

Ya having a principled president who has consistently warned about undue influence of money in politics for decades is a threat to American society

he slowed Biden down. His voters weren’t considering Bernie. Benefit go to Biden and Warren.

Petes 2nd choice based on polling is Bernie, followed closely by Biden. Neither particularly benefited, the only benefit is a very small increase in contested convention, maybe a small momentum hit for Bernie.
