players like Dream, MJ and Kobe, they can play in any era and still be great. so yes the Dream will still be killing it in today's NBA. and he wouldn't need to defend the 5 out Rockets because he'd be playing for the Rockets.
Do we question if AD is having issues playing in today’s game? Olajuwon is even more nimble than he is, and he is the godfather of elite level post play. It would be child abuse on the block every night. Dream could shoot, pass, and handle the ball all at excellent levels for a big man. U can not name 1 big man in the history of the game that was more skilled. On defense, Olajuwon is all-time level great. Again, if a big like AD is holding his own defensively and even gets DPOY talk from the media from time to time, why wouldn’t Hakeem be able to do all of that and more?? Dude is acting like Hakeem was a black Rick Smits. Smh, splash this blasphemous thread with basketball holy water, and then burn this sh*t with fire. Delete this from CF servers effective immediately. This is so bad. In a few years we might have Rockets fans thinking even more blasphemous BS. 10 years from now: Would Harden even be a star in today’s NBA?
You do realize he was way more than a post player right? He was one of the first “centers” to face up from 20 out. Could drive to the basket or hit the long midrange jumper with ease. No doubt at all he would’ve developed a reliable 3. Think a rich mans AD
first off hakeem's 2019 training camp barefoot measurement would put him at 6'10". so super quick with actual post moves and he definitely would have developed a 3pt shot. hakeem is a big that's ideally suited for today's game. shaq might think he would dominate, but the opposition could run him off the floor and he can't shoot free throws.
Someone sticky this highlight vid on the GARM for all these noobs. Not even 1 minute in and Hakeem pokes a ball free and sprints down the court for a dunk. The guy was extremely agile for the era as a "big". He would dominate this era.
Man, how do I say this. Giannis isn’t on the same planet as Olajuwon. Olajuwon was a supreme athlete coming out of college. He developed an elite offensive repertoire from pretty much anywhere on the floor outside of behind the 3 point line. To go along with being the best defensive player of all time. Giannis still doesn’t have the offensive repertoire that Olajuwon had, not nearly the defender. Comparable athlete that probably is a better ball handler, that’s about it. Don’t compare the two as they aren’t comparable
Couldn't have said it better myself. I was actually trying to give his points an honest chance, but then he just said this, which is so completely out of touch with reality i couldn't even.
Embid is not even 70% of Hakeem, he is called the best center in today's NBA?! I think this thread is a hidden Dream pro thread at first sight.
if you put shaq in todays game. He would dominate the game. No one can stop him from getting out of the paint or even scoring near the paint. I just dont see anyone big or tall enough to do it.
