10days often get minutes for need (reason of signing) or scouting. Let’s go watch the game replay and report back his defense awareness and skill. He’ll have to be noticeably better than Clark on defense, to convince me we were ever looking at him.
Better than Clark IMO https://www.brightsideofthesun.com/...-on-momentum-of-impressive-phoenix-suns-debut Bolden’s basic stat line—6 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks in 26 minutes—doesn’t quite pop off the page, but his impact was indisputable. He finished with a team-high +17 plus-minus, mainly thanks to the way he affected the game on the defensive end.
versus the Warriors? check out last night's game vs Toronto ... went from "impressive" v a tanking team to DNP against an EC contender. Not arguing, just disappointed because I was hoping to see him against Toronto, and Morey probably was too. Maybe they're hiding him ... the 'ol basketballholic theory he falls back on when his favorite players aren't getting burn.
Agreed, wanted to see him get big minutes vs. Raptors but Ayton, Saric and Baynes returned. Even Diallo only played 1 min.
Waive Tyson Chandler. Go for youth. Go sign Bolden. https://www.azcentral.com/story/spo...den-hoping-second-10-day-contract/4846547002/
Rockets are reluctant to move Tyson because of his cache on sidelines and lockerroom. But I agree, he is not a fit. I would move all 3 guys that do not fit, Harty and Clemons too for younger players that fit. Jonah Bolden Justin Anderson Tyler Johnson Ryan Broekhoff Any 3 of those 4 could step right into this system and not create system meltdowns. And Johnson would be great insurance if one or more of these 3 Rockets are moved/not re-signed (EGo, Rivers, McLemore).
Well here is another chance if we want Bolden. You'd think a team like the Suns would keep him if he's so promising or at least sign him to another 10 day to get a longer look. Suns head coach Monty Williams even coached him in Philly last year so he is very familiar with him and what he can and can't do. I'm not against bringing him in, but I think it's pretty obvious that there is no way he'd play at all for MDA this season. He's not a rotation worthy player at the moment. This would certainly be a development move looking towards the future. His size and skills are interesting, but I'll trust the front office on this one if they think Harty and Clemons have more upside. If they don't think that, they need to cut one of those guys and scoop him up.
Cannot believe I missed this!! Sign him Morey!!! Waive Clemons or Harty. Bolden is a much better big man fit than Harty a d it's not even close - switch everything D and 3ball shooter. 7'3 wingspan too, what is the delay?!!!?
