I normally can't stand the refs - bs fouls that weren't called against the Warriors, when klay/green were making it dangerous for Harden to land etc etc (plenty of times this has happened), but then on the other hand... I'm glad they can at least understand the whole 0-1-2 step and not call a travel. Fortunately these fans/media who don't understand basketball or are targeting houston on purpose don't ref the games or Harden would be called for a travel just being on the court. Forget about the media, it's the norm for Houston to be hated and it's even better when a Houston team wins it
"euro or travel?" what an innocent question. Glad I don't have cable anymore. At least I don't fund this idiocy.
Well, it just popped up on my ESPN phone app as an alert with the lede, "James Harden appears to take three steps on his way to the basket," so the talking point has been established. Look for him to get called for a few more stupid nontravel travels so the NBA can tell people they're "cracking down". What a joke.
https://www.sbnation.com/nba/2020/2/23/21149538/james-harden-travel-eurostep-rockets-vs-jazz This James Harden ‘travel’ is actually totally legal. Here’s why James Harden isn’t traveling on his drives to the basket. Get educated about the “gather” step.
David Aldridge is just so F'n irrelevant. Who gives a F about what he has to say. We are just going to keep making examples outta our opponents. Keeping busting they a$$.
A little over three years ago Sam Dekker scores his career high at Memphis... What you should remember is how Gasol was allowed to elbow him multiple times in the forehead to the point that the swelling bursts and blood starts gushing out. I don't recall any fouls called other then delay of game to clean up the blood.. Rockets won but the deprevaty of the powers that be is glaring. Media bias means nothing if it doesn't translate to bias against the Rockets on the court. Dekker is a like the perfect punching bag to spite a segment of the fan base because politics hides the hidden agenda... Maybe things are better this season without the international marketing?
just read some of this dude Nathan Fogg’s tweets...I like him...keep fighting the good fight on the cesspool that is twitter
The problem is that too many people believe they are experts while in reality, they are generalists, with only a surface level understanding of the game. The only thing they can really tell you with certainty is if the ball goes in, its a basket, but they won't be able to explain the technicalities of dribbling and shooting, or plays and schemes. I've never seen guys that truly take the time to analyze the game on a technical level criticize Harden skills. (Coach Nick, Ronnie Nunn, Lowe, KOC, etc...) It's not unique to just basketball, it's quite pervasive in everyday life. It's the old proverb "you can't fill a glass thats already full".
What's so difficult to understand really. Just think about what it is that makes a hesi/stutter legal. Its the same principal behind Hardens euro and stepback.
IDGAF ..... Rockets been playing 5 on 8 since Harden got here. Just win. Don't give the refs a chance to make a difference.
