Yea.....not sure on the velocity but Javier left some pitches up and got away with some mistakes in all 3 ABs. Lucky to get a 1-2-3 inning.
Feel bad for those of you outside of Houston that will have to hear an opposing teams broadcast for about half the games.
I'm getting triggered by this Nats broadcast on MLBN and all the World Series talk. Not looking back!
I’m not trying to be a Debbie downer.... you are thinking the exact same thoughts I am about rotation... so I’d the pitching coaches. Is what it is. For the record I think the Astros are winning between 93-103 games. But... the “if”s on the staff are legit until season begins.
I don’t care about other teams... Heck, the entire nation hates us right now. I’m just bringing up solid concerns before spring training games start. Astros will win 93-103 games this year. The nations of MLB fans outside Houston can go screw themselves.
You say you don't care about other teams, but you specifically said we'd be the only team with 5 -ifs- in their rotation. I'm simply saying that every player in baseball has -ifs-. Yes, Lance has a big if because of health, and our younger guys have ifs because they haven't proved anything over a full season. I'm sure you can find that with every roster in baseball though.
Nats, Mets, Dodgers, Rays, Cubs all have 3+ established starters with no major injury concerns. Houston projects to have one of the better rotations in the league, but it does carry higher risk than the other top rotations.
I am at a wedding buzzed off my butt right now.. off the dance floor... resting. I’m just being honest.. gut feeling... tell me my questions points are off. I still think they will win 93-103 games... but at this moment in time... there are questions about the starting rotation.... and I’m the biggest homer. Time for another margarita, my 8 year old wants me back in the dance floor.
Oh I agree. Lance and our 4-5 certainly have ifs. My point was that there are plenty of rotations with ifs, even the better ones. I really hope Lance can stay healthy though. More for him than me as a fan.
