Get Morris from the Lakers why would Houston allow the Lakers to get stronger against us? Sign him on waivers
Morris is signed to a BAE. He might not clear waivers. We (and other teams) can buy his contract off waivers, just to keep him away from LA. We have to cut someone to make a roster spot, but we can use our BAE/or Capela's TPE on Morris, sign Green to minimum, and cut Clemons, Chandler or iHart. [edit] just saw @The Cat tweet explaining it. I'll leave Pincus here for emphasis, that we can block LA.
Sigh…poor boogie Edit: it means lal are all in Morris…otherwise LBJ wont be happy w/ front office doing nothing before deadline.
teams don’t do this very often though. All of these buyout guys end up being free, even ones on minimum deals I. Players run the league
lulz, ESPN had a headline article just yesterday of Cousins' enthusiasm for playoff run haha DeMarcus Cousins hopeful of joining Lakers for playoff run
thats messed up man. i feel bad for the guy. what if we claimed morris ? could they sign him back ? i feel like we should do it just to keep him from the lakers. he might be pissed though if thats where he really wanted to go
That's absurd to say "all of these guys." Why do you hyperbole so much While rare, claims happen ever year. Christian Wood was claimed in past year. Alphonso McKinney was claimed by multiple teams, when GSW had to cut him. CLE won, because they had worse record...earliest pick. Here's a list just for this year https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2019/08/201920-nba-waiver-claims.html yeah, minimum players get cut who aren't wanted all that much, and teams willing to make the other team pay...they don't care enough. But vast majority of buyout players clear waivers because they are in bad contracts...otherwise, they usually have trade value. Morris isn't in a bad contract, and it isn't uncommon for guys like him to be claimed.
I think all the big men in the NBA should contact their player association's reps and demand that the "illegal defense" be abolished. All zones should be allowed. That's the only way any of these big guys are going to have a future in the league. If we want to put an end to these gate crashing dribbles to the basket and endless one-on-one moments, allow all the help. It would make for a more interesting game, just saying. (I'm for taking on the European rules for goal-tending too)
not now. we are set for the small ball. but if we get knocked out of first round in the playoffs then maybe we could give boogie a try this summer
I'm thinking the biggest 'small ball' haters should be those traditional big men who sticking to low post games and running in slow motions. Things changed, they find they are becoming mammoth. Good news are, while demand changing market gonna react subsequently even tho in a lagged way. There gonna be more and more big men w/ upgraded skillset like AD, towns…or as you suggested rules gonna be changed accordingly.
