Victimization was a huge reason it appealed to a lot of people. Because at the time Germany wasn't in the best of places of course and the Nazi Party promised a return to glory.

That whole "We will be great again" slogan seems to be a popular refrain for these kinds of regimes.

 

More specifically Nazi propaganda convinced the public that the ethnic and religous majority were victims of persecution and bastardization from all powerful Jewish bankers who brought in "lesser races" into Germany to weaken it.

 

Right now this thread is showing how the right - white Christian Republicans - are pretending to be the victims of the left. Trump is spun as a victim of the left as well. Instead of being critical of his actions, it's the left who is "constantly attacking him", and you don't see the right complaining about all the injustices against minorities even when they cost a few brown people their lives - it's all justice to them.

But god forbid some idiot spits on their flag or takes their hate - all of a sudden it's the entire left is victimizing them and @dachuda86 jumps out and calls the left fascists.

It's Orwellian.

 

This is the same thing the modern day white nationalists say as well. The Jews are the one that runs the world...interracial marriage is pushed upon society to exterminate the white race...immigration is pushed upon 'their' countries to eliminate the white race...

It's always the same argument because it tells the person they are talking to that their issues would all be solved if those people weren't around anymore.

Oh, the point about Trump is spot on. He's always the victim, you hear it all the time from his supporters. All the time. The whole "No president has ever been treated this badly!" he even said it himself! As if we haven't had assassinations and proper impeachments. As if Obama wasn't criticized for everything he did. As if we should hold the president to some low standard.

Throughout the whole impeachment he made it out that he was victim from the mean bully democrats, while his crime goes ignored.

 

These type of anecdotal one uppers never gets anywhere. You post about a butt hurt student wanting to to grift off of percieved persecution and I'll post a mass shooting of a synagogue.

Post some statistics regarding right wing vs left terrorism over the past decade that has resulted in deaths.

I thought it was about political violence against another group that was not pushed by mainstream media. I know how much you and Sweet Lou love to hijack threads and preach about white nationalism.

How old are you? Did you just get accepted at a slightly above average public university in the past year and are very exited to tell the world?

 

Of course we’re all against violence. I don’t think anyone here is an advocate for violent political demonstrations; it goes against the foundation of our country (see: Boston Tea Party and Civil Rights protests for how you bring about change).

This will never get me to look down on my own beliefs though. The actions of these few maniacs cast zero doubt on my passion against Trump and modern conservatism. I echo their sentiments but I’m a reasonable person. Trump’s actions and behavior prompts this type of behavior. The increasing polarization in our country brings out these fools. Now more than ever we need someone in the White House to unite this country.
