And how do the journalists who report random tweets from rando accounts know it's a good faith supporter and not a foreign actor in a troll farm or a bot? They are the ones who believe it crosses the threshold for "news" and do zero vetting and just see an angry tweet and claim it as news.
I mean pretty much every comment section on Twitter is just a poo flinging of insults. It's sad and pathetic. How can anyone drown out all the noise and claim that Bernie supporters are like Trump? If Bernie supporters liked Bernie because of his hypothetical divisive rhetoric just like how Trump supporters tell you to your face that is precisely why they like Trump, maybe that's when I would consider it relevant? @jiggyfly , do you have any criticism of modern mainstream news? Do you think they are infallible? Angry tweets is and always will be lazy click bait journalism. It's low hanging fruit news reporting. It's what grifting right wing YouTube channels use to fuel their "SJWs are the devil" narrative.
I hear some Bernie fans have also been mean in the youtube comments. At this point Bernie needs to also step down from the senate.
Not YouTube comments. I can't believe Bernie supporters are lowering the high bar for YouTube comment discourse!
Ok so now everybody is making stuff and just being mean to Bernie. Because the MSM is scared of him. Gotcha.
Making stuff up? No I'm saying msm sources jump the gun on angry tweets with zero vetting and report it as news. Like I said before, unless it's the actual politician on Twitter, angry tweets will always be lazy click bait journalism.
Yes msm is scared of Bernie. They don't like his economic reform. More than half of mainstream tv news media is owned by Disney, Comcast or ATT. Why would they want Bernie's economic reform? They are all publicly traded companies meaning they have no insentive to want reform that would see benefits 10 years from now or 20 years from now. They care about their quarterly earnings report and that's about it.
Just like clockwork. Let me break this to you they don't care about Bernie's economic reform because they know he would not get anything passed. And this is another prime example of you using a Trump supporter talking point.
And what is this "Trump supporter talking point"? There is no profit motive reason for MSM to attack Trump. He has done well for large publicly traded companies. So theninseseent criticism of him is deserved because his rhetoric is unprecedented for a president and that type of rhetoric generates views and news. Large publicly traded companies do not like Bernie. You seem like you don't want a genuine discussion here and will just resort to any argument and discussion from me or another poster sympathic to Bernie with "that's like a Trump supporter" with zero nuance. It's rather dismissive and rather aggravating for someone who wants to actually have a discussion.
How in the world will a journalist track the source of origin of a unverified Twitter account? I hope a journalist doesn't have the power to find my location from my Twitter profile. That would be a violation of privacy. They can't and therefore why I keep on telling you that rando angry tweets are never news. It's lazy click bait news.
The president, who he surrounds himself with, and how his supporters behave all set the tone for how Americans engage with one another. We hold executives to account if their organizational culture is corrosive and they do not do enough to correct the behavior of bad actors. Bernie is seeking to be the executive for us all, so I think it is very fair to hold him to a similar standard. Help me understand what is unintuitive about my train of thought: Relative to other candidates, a greater proportion of Bernie supporters online are bullies Bernie and his "well-behaved" supporters have the ability to curb this behavior by disavowing those who continue to act this way, with no qualifications Instead, Bernie provides justifications for the behavior like "well, we were wronged in Nevada" and "all campaigns do it", while his supporters wave it away as a non-issue (like you are doing with your sarcastic comment)
https://www.huffpost.com/entry/bernie-sanders-fake-news-russia_n_58c34d97e4b0ed71826cdb36 Just understand when a mains stream media source thinks Twitter posts are need, they have no clue which accounts are from foerign actors, bots, or right wing trolls yet they post these news articles confindetly that a larger portion of actual Bernie supporters are aggressive or violent or whatever large brush stroke characterization they want to paint Bernie supporters as. Hillary and the entire establishment and including me believe that we were wronged in the 2016 general election. How much does the establishment complain about the electoral college system. How many complain about the potential collaboration between Trump officials and WikiLeaks to hack and leak DNC emails? Bernie doesn't go in rallies and state "the media is the enemy of the people". He doesn't claim the elections were rigged. Imagine if Ted Cruz won the nomination, do you think Trump would attend FOURTY rallies to pitch for Cruz like Bernie did for Hillary? Stop making Twitter comments news. The world would be better off ignoring that cess pool of unverified troll accounts and bots. Just use Twitter for the verified accounts that disseminate breaking news.
This is from the official People4Bernie account. Every bad actor is a Russian bot. Everyone who is frustrated with the actions of these bad actors is a crybaby. Every candidate who points out the flaws in Bernie's policies is a corporate shill. Every caucus/primary that Bernie loses is rigged. Every media outlet that criticizes Bernie is biased. Every democratic senator/rep that worries about the down-ballot impact of Bernie is part of the untrustworthy establishment. ...I think I'm starting to get it now
"Grifter". That is the bar for unacceptable huh. Wait till you see when Michael Bloomberg has to say about Bernie and his supporters.
Man.... how wrong can someone be in one post? SOOO much wrong. Go take a walk and come back to your internet device and apologize to everyone here on the forum please. thank you
I apologize for pimping my own post but I really would like to get some more responses. If Sanders wins the nomination I will support him, I will donate to him and I will campaign for him. The most important thing has to be defeating Trump. That said I do not feel confident at all about Sanders' chances and I think Sanders at the top of the ticket will be a drag for close Senate and House races. I think it will be handicap for Hickenlooper and Kelly to be tied to Sanders' platform in CO and AZ.
Bernie's surrogates set the tone with their divisive rhetoric and his supporters amplify it. Look at all the foul **** that Chapo Trap House (huge Bernie supporters) says about other candidates. They aren't bots - Bernie has even been on the podcast. It's not ok for Bloomberg to say foul **** either. Our leaders and the people they surround themselves with set the tone for discourse in our country. Why accept such garbage?
I think he will most likely leave the White House but I'm not ruling anything out. He already has outstanding cases in the SDNY and there is most likely sealed indictments waiting for him from the Cohen case and the Mueller investigation.
